Because I missed yesterday, you get two days instead of just one.
Day 07 ♥ Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show*considers*
A lot of the episodes that LOST fandom hates, I love. ("Exposé", for instance. You guys. Razzle freakin' dazzle.) However, there is one episode that I agree with popular hate on, and that is "Stranger in a Strange Land".
I don't understand the point of this episode. I mean. Wikipedia's description includes the line "Flashbacks explain the origin of Jack's tattoos." Please point me towards one person who was at all interested in the origin of Jack's tattoos.
Why would you spend an episode on that, I can't even.
Day 08 ♥ A show everyone should watch*pimps out
"Kings"*
It's a loose retelling (emphasis on "loose") of the Biblical story of King David, set in a contemporary-styled fantasy kingdom called Gilboa. And it's fantastic. The dialogue walks a fine line between Shakespearean, Biblical, and modern, the characters are all fascinating, nuanced, often horrible but ultimately sympathetic people, the worldbuilding and mythology is intricate and well-planned-out. And also I'm so in love with Jack/Joseph it continually blows my mind.
Also also, Ian McShane.
( the rest )Annnnd, I'm going to pick up
sanestlunatic's 30 Days Of Who meme as well.
Day 01 ♥ Your Favorite QuoteThat is the dematerializing control. And that, over yonder, is the horizontal hold. Up there is the scanner, those are the doors, that is a chair with a panda on it. Sheer poetry, dear boy. Now please stop bothering me.
The First Doctor, explaining the TARDIS control room to Steven. And it is just such a fabulous encapsulation of both the Doctor and the TARDIS, I love it.
