In other news, fandoms_end is open for claiming! Go, claim, write. Someone claimed The Dresden Files bookverse which I'm excited about. I claimed The Black Donnellys 'cause I'm nuts. Well, no, I claimed TBD because I'm on a kick right now and because it offers me a built-in framing device to excuse continuity errors. I still have to figure out what the actual timeline of TSE/JE is, what happens when, that sort of thing, because every time I rewatch those episodes I just get completely confused as to when any given event is happening.



Also, I really want to go see Coraline.

My dad's truck broke down on his way home from work, resulting in a rescue mission being embarked by my mother and myself. It involved precarious parking in the dark on the side of a highway with a steep ditch, idiotic drivers, complicated tow-truck maneuvers in an abandoned rest stop parking lot, and AAA massively overcharging for towing services. Yes. It was not as exciting as it sounds. It did however kill an hour of my life.

Because...look, my list of celebrities I would have sex with without asking questions? That's Shane MacGowan and nobody else, and as much as I love my Shane, he wouldn't go on a hot-celebrities list. Not even for me. Won't someone think of the asexuals? They think of you. Reading.

* I hate colds. Now I'm all sniffly and achey and I don't like it. *sulks*

* Ticketmaster keeps sending me "Don't miss Pogues!" e-mail alerts, which reminds me -- Niki, we really need to set down the details for realz. You know, how we're going to get there, where we're going to stay, that sort of thing. Only two months 'til the House of Blues and Boston!

* If anyone has ever doubted that I'm a packrat...well, I have two 250gb external hard drives, and as of yesterday I kind of really need a third, because one is Absolutely Full and the other one is Well I Guess I Could Fit A Little More But Don't Push It. Also I kind of can't really justify buying a third until someone actually hires me or I find a really cheap decent one.

* On the topic of jobs, I sent my resume out to those jobs I thought I might possibly be qualified for. Haven't heard anything back yet, but it's still soon. Still looking for other jobs I might possibly be qualified for. Teh Niki wants me to apply at the Norva, which would be cool but I can't seem to find a place to send my resume to.

* I lost most of yesterday to TVTropes and still have it open in a tab. Why is this site so horribly addictive?

* The BBC is looking for a new Doctor Who producer. Do you think they'd hire me? You know, despite my being American and having no experience whatsoever? Because that would be AWESOME.

* LOST premiers this Wednesday! Next-to-last season. We're coming up on the endgame, guys. ...look, I'm not thrilled that most of my favorite characters are dead, but I've still got Hurley and Sun and Desmond and Penny and Daniel and Miles to invest in, okay?

* Hoshit. I just went to the LOST Wikipedia page to make sure I was right about that next-to-last season thing and out of curiosity clicked on the "characters of Lost" link. ...skipping past "Oceanic 6", when you go to the "Other main Oceanic 815 crash survivors", you have to go seven characters down before you find one that isn't dead. *flail* Writers, come on.

* I have a new Chess audio to listen to. *bounce*

* Draft one of that Harper vid is done! I already can see some things that I know I want to change, but I'm letting it sit for a couple days before I do draft two, so I can come at it fresh.

We went to midnight mass last night -- all four of us who are currently home, which is a little unusual, for a few years running it's mostly been just me and my dad -- and it was a really nice service. I always somehow forget how much I do in fact like going to mass, because I don't go very often. And soon we will start cooking Christmas dinner.

So. A good day. ♥ I hope everyone else's is going grand as well!
