allfireburns gave me R!
The Rainbow Connection - Daphne Rubin-Vega
someday we'll find it, that rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me
One of my favorite renditions of one of my favorite songs.
Rainy Night In Soho - The Pogues
I'm not singing for the future, I'm not dreaming of the past, I'm not talking of the fist time, I never think about the last
Okay, okay, we all know I fangirl Shane hard. This song is one of the reasons. It's just such a gorgeous song. I consistently cite it as "the best love song ever written".
Re: Your Brains - Jonathan Coulton
I think I speak for all of us when I say I understand why you folks might hesitate to submit to our demands, but here's an FYI: you're all gonna die screaming
Best zombie apocalypse song ever? Why, yes, I think it is. Hilarious and fun, a fandom staple.
Requiem For A Dying Song - Flogging Molly
talk, don't talk if there's nothing to say; walk, don't walk if your feet don't know the way
I've long been very fond of Flogging Molly in general. When I picked up Float, this was the song that I immediately fell hopelessly in love with. (I'm in love with the whole album, but this was the most immediate infatuation I can remember having with a song.)
Rosamund's Dream - The Robber Bridegroom OCR
Rosamund, Rosamund, he will say -- Rosamund, Rosamund, come away
A sweet little song from a fairly obscure old musical. I first encountered this my...first year of college? I was taking a voice class and my teacher encouraged me to sing this for one of my assignments. Possibly because it's not horribly challenging and I'm not a fantastic singer. But I still love it. It's such a pretty lullaby.
In other news,
fandoms_end is open for claiming! Go, claim, write. Someone claimed The Dresden Files bookverse which I'm excited about. I claimed The Black Donnellys 'cause I'm nuts. Well, no, I claimed TBD because I'm on a kick right now and because it offers me a built-in framing device to excuse continuity errors. I still have to figure out what the actual timeline of TSE/JE is, what happens when, that sort of thing, because every time I rewatch those episodes I just get completely confused as to when any given event is happening.
Also, I really want to go see Coraline.

If you need help with the timeline, though, you can totally ask me.
I'm definitely going to have to take you up on that. I'm bad at keeping timelines straight in the best of cases, and so much happens there that I just get totally lost.

No problem! I'm obsessive enough that I have a GDocs spreadsheet keeping track of where all the episodes fall in the Whoniverse timeline. And a couple events that were only referenced in episodes, and... yeah. I like keeping track of these things. ^^

And a couple events that were only referenced in episodes,
Well, of course. If you're going to do it, do right, amirite.

...Rah. I'll probably sit here and swing back and forth between it and by the time I actually come up with a plot or whatever, it'll be old news or something. I dunno.
...Hi, this comment went on way too long.

Aw, no such thing.

MAYBE IF I FIND A PLOT. That is the hard part, actually. Rah.

(No, srsly. I have the beginning, two possible ends, and a few middle bits in my head. They're all framing bits with Joey, mostly of him getting bitched out for telling the story wrong. What actually happens in the story he's telling? Uh.)

Knowing my luck if I don't find some kind of plot, it'll be 2000 words of Sydney having snarky narration and her and Sark getting into bitchfights. Which, you know, is fine, except I wrote that... With zombies.

...I might not be the best person to be giving advice on this. My whole motivation here is "OMG WRITE IT."

Sark and Sydney get hancuffed in a confessional AND SNARK.
Sark and Sydney run from zombies AND SNARK.
Sark and Sydney disarm a bomb inside a wooden duck AND SNARK.
....So yeah. XD
