I am having a very strong urge to find and buy a bodhran and learn how to play it. I suspect exhaustion is at least partly to blame. Actually following through on this urge would be insanely stupid, because a) I can't afford it b) I don't even know where I would start learning how to play bodhran c) I have no musical talent whatsoever d) wtf, seriously, self? Go get some sleep, instead.


This week's Doctor Who: ... I need to rewatch it while not exhausted. From what I remember ( spoilers if you haven't seen Night Terrors yet )

I have just been hit by a sudden and intense but admittedly ridiculous desire for fic in which Tobias from Animorphs and Matthew from The Sandman meet and talk. About. Stuff. IDK.

Really, I don't even know, I just know I want it.

this year I've resolved to drop my bad habit of learning things.

Finally (finally!) earned enough Amazon gift cards to be able to buy the LOST S6 DVDs. Yay! Now I just have to wait for them to get here. Trying to decided if I want to immediately do a full series rewatch or rewatch S6 now and then do the full series later. Probably will do S6 now, as I am a sucker for instant gratification.

Meanwhile, I have to figure out who I'm going to get to write me letters of recommendation and also write a statement of purpose (??) and also contact my last colleges for transcripts for my grad school app. Woo.

Just realized that when I cleaned out my room a few days ago, along with throwing out a bunch of stuff I no longer have use for I also threw out something I was very specifically GOING to use. THIS IS WHY I DON'T THROW STUFF OUT, SELF.

Bah.

Meh, whatever, it's annoying and I'll be mad at myself for a while but it's not that big a deal. I just wanted to whinge a bit.
