OMG YOU GUYS IT'S SNOWING!
Well, I mean, it's coastal-North-Carolina-in-early-December snowing, which is to say a vague approximation of snow that sticks to the tops of cars and also the dog's back but just make everything else kind of wet.
Nevertheless it is the first snowfall of the year here and so I'm counting it. ♥

YOU GUYS IT SNOWED.
Like legit snow, like four inches, not like usual North Carolina ~snow. I know four inches is not objectively a lot, but this is coastal North Carolina.
My mom was supposed to fly up to New York today to visit the older sister for a week but her flight was postponed 'til tomorrow because of the snow.
So yeah.
Er, in other news...
- I am doubtful about the validity of the LOST 'leaked first four minutes of 5x01'. Mostly based on the fact that virtually none of it is new footage.
- I have unexpectedly scored a $15 iTunes gift card. I have so far spent ~$5 of it (I got Raul Esparza singing O Holy Night and I am attempting to rent The Great Muppet Caperbecause I am a geek but it's having some difficulty downloading). Any recommendations on what to spend the remaining $10 on?

bwaydaily's general consensus on Corbin Bleu appears to be that he's surprisingly good as Usnavi. I am so curious about his performance, negl.
- There is webcomic wank at fandom_wank, omg. It's hilarious. But someone in the comments linked to Darths & Droids and I spent last night archive-binging. Tragic, really. I'm now caught up and subscribed to the RSS feed. Are there any other webcomics I should be reading but am not? Because I should really just get all the archive-binging out of the way at once.

It is Christmas Eve! Happy Christmas, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, happy December 24/25! (And, of course, happy whatever you do celebrate. ♥)
We are in Watertown NY visiting the older sister and

OMGSNOWYAY

Happy Christmas!! <3 <3 <3

oh, oh, don't forget the snow
It snowed!!!
I mean, this is North Carolina, so that should really say "It ~"snowed"!!!" It's a statistically insignificant amount of snow. You can still see grass, the roads are totally clear, it's basically just less than an eighth of an inch on cars and stuff.
But still. Snow.
*/is easily pleased*

Finally back at home. The heat isn't back on yet but they're working on it (finally). I'm cold.
Also, it's pretending to snow outside!! I miss snow. Naturally, this being North Carolina, a ton of local school and business closed for the day as soon as the meteorologists said "sn--", despite the fact that it's just some flakes in the air and nothing's sticking anywhere. It's kind of amusing to watch people around here freak out at the slightest hint of the white stuff.

and since we've no place to go...
Things To Do To Piss Off Your Tech Crew:
- Flagrant misuse of microphones. This includes: standing two feet away from the mic, practically whispering, and then getting annoyed when the sound crew tells you, no, they can't make the mic any hotter; coughing or clearing your throat into the mic; covering the mic with your hand; noticing that the mic is far too short/tall for you to use comfortably, and rather than adjusting the height for your own use, talking above and/or below the microphone and expecting the sound tech to compensate for you; not using a microphone at all and then sending someone up to ask the sound tech why you couldn't be heard easily.
- Lining up for your entrance and then waiting half an hour for incomprehensible reasons while the entire crew goes crazy because they've already held the house way too long and really want to get things finished with on something approaching schedule.
- Leaving your things around the stage after a show, wandering off while the crew starts striking, and then bitching when you discover that the crew moved your things so that they could finish their job.
- Loitering in the hallways to talk to your friends/family/coworkers, thus blocking the crew from easily moving things off the stage and into storage.
- Apologizing for all of the above while the crew is still striking, and doing it by standing in the middle of the stage, blocking the crew from quick or easy movement.
Bleh.
On the other hand, it's SNOWING! It started while we were in the midst of strike -- or maybe it started during the concert, who knows -- and is still snowing now and I love it so, so much. Is not a hardcore snowfall, just a nice light drift, and...Ashley and Melissa and I sang "Let It Snow!" at the top of our lungs on the walk back from the FAC, and got all covered in flakes, and were just generally gleeful, ys.

Twelve-hour work days are not fun. NOT FUN, I tell you. Plus I cut my palm on a broken piece of chair. *pout*
On the plus side, it snowed during sound check!! And kept snowing!! Like, hardcore snow!! It was still snowing when I was walking back to my room at almost midnight!! It made loadout a pain, but I got my snow!! Finally!!
Hardcore snow is a good thing. This is why I came to school in Massachusetts.
