Seriously, though, it's ridiculous and I don't know why everyone seems so hellbent on clinging for dear live. LJ has been a sinking ship for a while and I wish fandom would just move like they keep whinging about. I'm only here because fandom is here. If fandom moved, I would too. I don't care where we go as long as it's to somewhere that treats us with more respect and intelligence than LJ/Six Apart.

Their "think of the children" stance is beyond a joke now. I can't work out why they think that how they're acting is seriously helping anybody. I guess they are just THAT terrified of getting Warriors For Innocent crazy types on their back again or of getting sued/bad press. :(

If fandom moves, I'll move. I've already registered my name--but not done much else--over at GreatestJournal, and I'll probably wind up doing the same at InsaneJournal, so if we move I'll at least have rights to my own name.

But I'll be honest: I have almost 100 people and nearly 400 communities on my friends list. I don't want to lose that. If we move, it's going to have to be pretty damn organized 'cause there's a lot of us.

I can't work out why they think that how they're acting is seriously helping anybody.

It's just mindboggling, it really is. I can't think how they possibly think they're handling this well.
