The 61st Tony Awards

Raúl Esparza did not win Best Performance By A Leading Actor In A Musical, and now I am a bit sad. :( I really wanted him to win that, as he's awesome and I ♥ him.

On the plus side, Company did win Best Revival Of A Musical, and Spring Awakening more or less deservedly swept the awards.

But still.


I went down to the waterfront with my daddy this afternoon to watch the boat races. Was fun, but nobody flipped over, and I was a little disappointed. I'm mean at heart, let it go.

And I continue to feel lousy. :/ Not sick, exactly, but restless and sore and headache-y and unable to concentrate. I haven't been sleeping well, and will doubtless continue Not Sleeping Well tonight.

Sick of me whining yet? So am I.

I'm totally with you on the anger about Raul. *sigh*

He's amazing, especially in that show he is amazing. He deserved to win.. rawr.

Yeah, one show always like sweeps the Tony's... every year that I've watched them anyway. ^^"

I have absolutely no idea why he didn't win, and it's going to bother me for a long time, because dammit, he should have.

And sometimes I get annoyed because I feel like the show didn't deserve to sweep the awards, but Spring Awakening was good enough that I'm okay with it. :D

And yeah I think I'm so used to one show winning that it didn't bug me, and plus, I agree that SA deserved all the awards! :)

YES. At least it's not mono. That thought actually did manage to cheer me up a surprising amount.
