I am so excited by the preview of the new TARDIS design. And it's such a tiny preview, you can barely see anything, but what you can see looks glorious.
I WANT TO SEE THE WHOLE THING.
IS IT CHRISTMAS YET?

I've really loved Eleven's TARDIS interior, and I hope they keep the best elements -- especially the multilevel thing and all the exits going every which way -- but, ugh, this one looks so pretty so far. ♥♥♥

1) The 2010 Tardis interior currently sits on the soundstage that was previously occupied by the Torchwood 3 Hub. That soundstage was supposedly difficult to work with and it may have been decided to move off that soundstage because of 2.
2) Moffat kept the 2005 - 2010 Tardis set around until the end of the 6th season. That set is now in an exhibition, meaning the space is occupied is now free. Why expand a set when you have a show known for "woah, new face!"?
3) The 2010 Tardis set leads nowhere, the corridors end in blanks for digital fakery. They may have decided to make a much larger Tardis set that actually leads somewhere... something like the massive connected Destiny set that was built for Stargate Universe.
