First, NaNo:
Recursive: Currently at 13,013 words and (hopefully temporarily) blocked. Luka is on the verge of death in a hallway no one else can get to and he doesn't have the energy to go anywhere else. I am not sure how this happened nor how I can fix it. SOMEHOW IT WILL GET FIXED. I hope.
One Spared To The Sea: Currently at 10,542 and despite being about 3K words behind Recursive I'm feeling a lot better about it at the moment. Kate and Máirín have finally met properly and Máirín's coat has been stolen and hidden and they are not getting along well at all. So, that's got a little momentum starting to build up.
Second, TV:
My Little Pony: Today's was a RARITY EPISODE. I AM SO HAPPY. Rarity and Sweetie Belle! Srs, this episode filled me with so many happy feelings I can't even express them. TO THE SPA.
Grimm: So I gave this a shot. Two episodes' worth, anyway. I'm not feeling it. I don't know if it's the characters, the concepts, or that I just don't need another vaguely supernatural-influenced crime procedural in my life, but I'm not feeling it. I might give it another episode to catch me or I might not.
Once Upon A Time: I also gave this two episodes' worth of a shot, and I'm loving it so far. Everything about it. The characters, the concept, the worldbuilding, the relationships, the potential. Although right now I'm kind of feeling like it would've been better off a self-contained miniseries, given the way the plot seems to be shaping up; I'm open to being proved wrong.
Psych: The superhero episode alternated between making me really happy (I love when the boys are massive dorks) and really annoyed (really, Tap Man? I know Gus loves his tap-dancing, but he loves his superheroes, too; he would've come up with something better). Still not enjoying the heavy-handedness of the Shawn/Juliet stuff, but whatever, it's not my ship and therefore I'm not the target audience. I still enjoy the show more than I get annoyed at it, so overall it's doing a lot better than most shows six seasons in.
Also, I've been doing sporadic marathons of Farscape and just finished season 4, and ARGH I FORGOT HOW AWESOME/HEART-BREAKING/SHOCKINGLY AMAZING "Bad Timing" IS. Everything from the "Previously On Farscape" montage to the silent credits. EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT EPISODE. Everything.
Now I just have the Peacekeeper Wars and I'll have finished my Farscape rewatch and won't have any excuse to put off shortening my "shows people keep recommending to me but I haven't watched yet" list.

I have no idea, but I'm all for supporting Juliet/Shawn in fic and whatnot, but whenever I watch them interact on the show, I'm not feeling it. It's really weird. Maybe because I know the actors are in a relationship and it weirds me out - like I'm watching their personal lives or something. (I was like that with Supernatural too, when there was a sex scene between two actors that ended up getting married. I was all: WHOA! O_O) :D

Hopefully "Recursive" will get a breakthrough while "One Spared To The Sea" will keep on keeping on! \o/

I watched the pilot ep of Once Upon A Time and that was my exact feeling: I would watch the HECK out of this as a mini-series or a movie but as an ongoing TV show...? I'm highly concerned that there will just never be an answer or satisfying resolution. :( I'm going to give the second ep a try, though, but I'm worried about getting attached only to end up with my heart broken because nothing ever actually gets solved in the end, you know? :(
Anyway, I've got to get back to my NaNo'ing but I was taking a quick LJ break and wanted to pop in and say hi! ;) *hugs* ♥!

Yeeeeaaahhh... Given the creative team's background on LOST, a "must stretch out the mystery as long as possible at all costs!" mindset is definitely a possibility. But I'm hopeful they'll avoid that pitfall. Somehow.
*tacklehugs* Good luck!!
