Starting to freak out about NaNoWriMo, which is kind of ridiculous 'cause it's a month and a half away. But on the plus side I've come up with a title I don't hate for the story I intend to write! (Yeah, it's the cyberpunk thing. IDEK if I'm actually capable of writing it but I WILL TRY.)

It's now called 'The Stranger Now', a title which may or may not still feel appropriate when the thing is something more than a loose collection of characters and worldbuilding in my head. Plot, what plot.

Aww, don't be stressed over NaNo, hon! Look at it as an opportunity for you to write absolutely anything you want with 0% worry over what anybody's going to think about it. :D As much as I suck at writing the other 11 months of the year *waves at the timestamp meme she still hasn't finished from last May* *blush* I adore NaNo because I'm writing only for me, with no fear that anybody else is going to judge me it. ;) So look at it as free play time! :D

I can hardly wait for SJA! \o/ (Well, at least for that one ep. I still haven't managed to catch up on SJA proper. *more blushing* )

I am really good at freaking out about things that don't require freaking out! IDK, IDK, I'm really looking forward to actually getting some writing down *looks guiltily at writing journal covered in cobwebs* just kind of freaking out about it anyway.


You should catch up because it is wonderful. *fangirls SJA unabashedly* Although, yeah, I have a feeling that ep is going to be my favorite just for Katy and Matt. ♥♥ ...although apparently I no longer have a Jo icon and now I am sadface.

Ooh I am planning to do NaNo this year as well! Since I'm not a student anymore and thus November will not be spent freaking out over impending finals. :) And I will have my typewriter in a few days, so I'll have time to adjust to using it (and hopefully find more ribbon!) before I need to write a novel on it.

(Clearly I need a typewriter, because on a computer I get so hung up over correcting things and editing as I go that I never make any progress. My priest has the same problem and suggested a typewriter. I hope it will help me be more productive.)

Exciting! This'll be your first year, right? Are you terrified yet?

I do a significant amount of NaNo writing by hand in a journal because on a computer I get hung up on researching things online and not actually writing. It's a sickness, really.

This will be my first year. :) I am terrified. XP I have no idea what I am going to write about, but I do have over a month to decide that.

I can't write by hand for very long (like, more than half a page), so the typewriter = perfect. Unfortunately, Grandma's typewriter has a broken carriage return, so I have to find another one. I have a couple of leads. Otherwise I will have to use the typewriter simulator, which does have the bonus of allowing me to copy and paste what I write, instead of having to retype it. I can print it then and still do editing by hand, though.
