I've listed five words I use often (too often even) in fanfics. Your job is to write a one-sentence fic inspired by each one. (Any fandom is OK, even if I don't follow it.) Then list your own five favorite words in your journal and see how they inspire your friends.

Used ljArchive, discounted names.

1. anyway
2. choice
3. someone
4. needed
5. thinks

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal.
It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else.

"How can you call him a terrorist when he's never aimed for terror?"

"You're in the system, Jacky-boy, and I am the system."

"Joey, I was in New York when the sky vanished; that never happened."

All from different fandoms, all projects I've talked about in this journal before; I do not guarantee that any of them will ever be completed or that, if they're completed, the above lines will be in them in the above form.

This is pretty wonderful.

M*A*S*H has always been a big part of my life. My dad was and is a big fan, and I was watching the show before I was old enough to really understand what I was watching, and I have to say it likely helped shape a lot of the ways I look at the world. "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler?" is an episode that has always stayed with me very strongly; particularly the following exchange:
"Tell me, is it true that God answers all prayers?"
"Yes. But sometimes the answer is 'no'."
