"General Mills? the cereal guy?"

This episode is kind of breaking the hell out of me. It's breaking Shawn and it's breaking Gus and it's breaking me.
And there are little squeeful moments in it, like the callbacks to "Weekend Warriors" and significant Karen&Henry interaction and Shawn really laying the one-liners on thick and the Return Of Shawn's Mom who I like quite a lot. And none of that is stopping it from breaking me.
ETA: Post-episode thoughts. I...I don't know how I feel about this episode. I'm unlikely to watch it again because, seriously, broken here. There were some wonderful, light-hearted moments, the tension was really well done, I'm going to come out and say it was definitely one of if not the best episodes Psych has done to date.
I do think the last ten minutes were kind of...out of place? Because when they took the crazy chick off to jail and there were still ten-plus minutes left in the episode, I was expecting a twist of some sort. Especially with the heavy-foreshadowing Yang did about Shawn's date. And then instead we get...Shawn/Juliet and Shawn/Allison and Shawn/Gus cuteness? It was cute, don't get me wrong, it just felt really out of place and weird and not organic at all.
Like I said. I don't know how I feel about this episode, and it ripped me up too much for me to say that I'll be watching it again in the immediate future.

That's what I said in the psych chat I'm in and I stand by it. The random shipping crap on the end was out of place and the same essential stuff (shawn blowing jules off for allison even tho jules is finally interested) could've been done in a minute or so through looks and cameras, etc. and it would not have felt so weird.
This ep was awesome until the last 10 minutes and now it's...pretty lame.

It feels like the first fifty minutes were their own self-contained awesome episode and then the last ten minutes were this random weird thing that wasn't even connected.

It could've happened in 2-3 minutes and still felt like PART OF THE SAME EPISODE. Obviously they have not mastered the art of the tag.
So, yeah. I'm one of the few who didn't think this ep was the awesomest but the ending really blunts the impact of the first 50 minutes.

Still. Wow. Guh. Oh, Shawn.
I think that woman is one of my favourite fictional serial killers.

This is one of the few times I've been genuinely spooked by a fictional serial killer. The X-Files had Donnie Pfaster, but other than that I got so used to creepy characters in that show that they didn't really spook me anymore. Psych, on the other hand, I don't really expect them to spook me, and Yang did a first-class job at that. *shivers*

That smile creeped me the hell out, it was wonderful - that actress rocks. I love that they made her a woman, too, I wasn't expecting that at all.
I need to be more than a casual viewer. But I kind of suck at TV.

She was completely amazing, blew me away. Creepy and gleeful and gleefully creepy. I was thrown off on the female thing, too, I totally assumed it was going to be a guy.

...I'm the reverse, I suck at being a casual viewer. I have the TV on a lot, I just don't actually watch it unless it's one of "my" shows.
Also, this is why they invented DVDs. *nods*

What REALLY made me wanna cry...finally...FINALLY after 3 seasons...we get THE moment...we get that moment where Juliet finally admits she has feelings for Shawn....but for the first time in 3 seasons...HE'S the one not ready. GAH! Broke my fangirl heart.
But it was a marvelous finale in my opinion...wrapped a lot of great things up...and I LOVED that Ally Sheedy from the Breakfast Club was the bad guy...nice throwback to the high school reunion episode.

There were some awesome callbacks to the rrest of the series! Ally Sheedy, the "Weekend Warriors" and "Spellingg Bee" nods, the high-school girlfriend and Shawn's mom -- it was really heavy in awesome continuity.
