time and relative dimension in space

HAI GUYZ.

This is mostly just a quick note that, yes, I'm still alive! *bounces* I have an apartment. It's small and kinda banged-up but it's cute and it's mine. Well, mine and Brian's. But still!

And it's in walking distance to work -- although you have to cross three or four sets of railroad tracks, a moderately busy street, and a highway -- but anyway, the point is, I've made the walk twice and survived and this kind of solves to a certain extent the problem of no cars.

I've also had work sign-in and orientation -- orientation consisted mostly of sitting in a room for four hours with a couple dozen other people while smiling people told us how awesome it is to work at Busch Gardens -- and my first rehearsal is tomorrow at noon. I have to swing by earlier, though, to get my uniform and ID.

After I work 100 hours or 60 days I get six comp tickets! And my employee ID will also get me into the park for free when I'm not working. ♥

My Internet connection here sucks. I'm averaging about five minutes online per two days because, seriously, I'm hacked into the only unsecured wireless I could find and it...it sucks. And I can't perform my Illicit Online Activities. :( So I'm behind on Torchwood and will probably miss out on Doctor Who for a while once that starts back up. But I did see last night's LOST! And missed Desmond but thought Claire's too-brief appearance was great because she was being proactive. <3

I had other things to say, but my connection could very well cut out any moment and I want to get this posted for you guys.

So I now own, among other things, a microwave oven, a tiny little workstation/desk thing for my computer, a 7-piece cookware set, storage bowls, silverware, stoneware, drinking glasses, and a dustpan. o.0 I can't believe I'm moving on Monday and it's almost Sunday now. *hides*


I can't write. I have ideas in my head and then I sit down in front of a piece of paper or a blank Word document and nothing comes out. NOTHING. It's awful. And I have no new fic to read. *pout* Rec me stuff, guys! If you can rec me post-"Constant" Desmond/Penny stuff I'll love you forever?

No, I already love you guys forever, you know that. But I'll, er, be very grateful? I dunno, insert reaction of your choice here.


Or some decent meta. Yeah, actually, take this as a formal request: I want a meta-ish conversation with somebody, anybody, about any of my fandoms/pairings/preferred characters. So if you're at all interested, the link to comment is right down there. Or you can just link me to one already in progress and I'll join in. I just want to think about fannish stuff 'cause I don't wanna think about RL stuff.
