I deleted all my userpics and redid them. Because I'm OCD or some related reason. Anyway now I have space for three more icons that I haven't decided how to use yet, except that for no good reason I want to make a theatre icon that says "Techies do it in the dark and on cue".

Two posts on doctorwho today asking for top-ten-companion lists (one for female screen companions only, the other for all-companions-ever-including-spinoff-media-and-boys). Which...okay, yeah, I posted to both of them with my lists but it involved a lot of *flailing* because it's so hard to narrow them down. Obv Babs is #1 and will never be defeated from this position and Martha is a close second but after that it all falls apart.

Mickey is probably #3 because he is love. But then it's all a big mess because there are the two Romanas and Captain Jack and Peri who I may be the only person who loves her for reasons other than her cleavage and Ace and Fitz and Charley and Evelyn and Benny and Sam and Ian and Jamie and Zoe and Sarah Jane and Liz and Jo and Grace and Donna and *flails more*. I can't order them!

Let's be honest. The only companions I don't have extensive, intense love for are Rose and Adric, and they both have their moments when I go "Aww, I like you" anyway.


...yeah. How do you narrow them all down to a top ten?

XD I've only had my crazy amounts of icon space for a few months, but I do that too, although I don't really purge them all at the same time as much as I just go back and delete the ones I don't care about anymore. Apparently, as OCD as I am, I can't bear to delete all of them at once for fear of losing one I might need again later or something. I am a strange one, indeed.

That's usually what I do but every so often I just delete them all and start over again. *flush* Usually at least a few of them make the cut--HeroinAddict!Claire and Kevin/Cereal OTP have survived the last few purges--but at least ninety percent end up being changed.

*sigh*

Although, dude, it's so awesome having crazy amounts of icon space and I wish we had even more. :D If I renew my paid account, the crazy amounts of icon space will be the sole reason why.

Indeed! That's why I got a paid account, now I don't know how I could have lived with only fifteen. (God, that sounds to completely lame, butbutBUT icons are so shiny!)

Might be lame but I know exactly what you mean. *sigh* Limiting myself to one icon per fandom and trying to limit my fandoms down to fifteen was just...just...I can't do it anymore! I know it's totally pathetic but I can't! I need my icon space!

I'm constantly changing my icons around. I never delete all of them though- there are a few I use too regularly for that.

Its impossible for me to rank my top ten favorite companions. The best I can do is list the ten who are tied for first place (in order of appearance): Barbara, Jamie, Zoe, Liz, Sarah Jane, Leela, Romana (I count her as one even though she regenerated), Tegan, Ace and Martha. And I think Polly would probably be up there too if I'd seen more of her stories. I'm just too indecisive, I think!

Polly is love and you should see more of her stories if possible. I'm not helping. I'm intensely indecisive and have no idea how people manage to have the willpower to prioritize that way. *sigh*

I hate lists like that and yet I can resist replying and I always feel awful afterwards and it's silly and I DON'T CARE. But after the Romana/Babs/Martha trio who are both favouritest and greatest but in slightly different orders, I flail madly.

If I had any willpower at ALL, I would stop answering posts like that, but I don't. They are ALL awesome and being asked to rank their awesomeness just makes me feel like a tool to the ones who wind up not making the cut.

You know, i desperately tried to make my lists for those, really I did, but I just wound up flailing and mumbling and making a maintenance fellow who was trying to fix our AC think I was bonkers.
