DOCTOR WHO IS BACK

THAT IS A VERY GRIM PLACE TO END THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE SEASON ON

I mean I think it can be safely assumed that Clara, Missy, and the TARDIS aren't dead/destroyed, given, y'know, the structure of the show, BUT STILL.

And meanwhile the Doctor is motivating himself to kill Davros as an innocent child and THIS IS ALL VERY GRIM.

Which is not to say it's a completely grim episode! It also includes things like Clara nonchalantly walking out of an English class she's teaching because UNIT wants her and the Doctor coming to a medieval axe fight with an electric guitar and an (unarmed) tank.

But the ending is very grim, omg. I know they're going to get out of it somehow and the Doctor is probably not actually going to kill tiny!Davros but I have no idea how they're going to accomplish that.

And I am VERY GLAD Doctor Who is back, even if it leaves me at a loss for words.

The highlight for me was Clara's first scene with the Doctor,

her reaction to him playing an electric guitar was funny and cute.

The downside for me was the "to be continued" bit.

I was like "what?!".
