Have I mentioned I love that Joan still has an active social life outside of Sherlock/their work? Because I love that.

The setup for this week's case (or non-case) is excellent, too.
"No one killed this man."
"No. But before he died, he murdered someone."

"If you don't have a corpse or a missing person's report, you don't have a case."
And then in their pursuit of a corpse they keep getting leads that end up just suggesting even more that they don't actually have a case! "Why can't anyone be dead today?"
And then a TOURNIQUET, of everything, is what cracks the case open.

Sherlock's gambit for getting to see the psychiatrist was so perfectly Sherlock.
"I'm required by law to immediately take you in to see the doctor if you make a threat like that. But you already knew that, didn't you?"

The resolution of Joan's friend's investigation is adorable, too.
"What you did for Jen, helping her finally have a baby, I think it's so great."
*stunned look*
"She did tell you she was ovulating, didn't she?"
*stunned look*
*smirk*
