nobody but me is gonna change my story

Tony nominations were announced today!
There's nothing I'm super-invested in this year (not like last year which I am still REALLY HAPPY about), but there's several shows and performers I'm happy to see made the cut.
Kinky Boots with 13 noms, Matilda with 12; I expect one or the other to sweep, and it could go either way. I'd actually be happy with either one taking the night, they're both good shows and very different from one another. Each of them getting to take a mix home would be even better, though.
Pippin is going to win Revival, I am almost certain. I love Drood, I love Cinderella, but Pippin's gonna win. And it deserves to, it's a great production.
I'd be happy with any of the Leading Actor (Musical) nominees winning, though I expect it's actually a race between Bertie Carvel and Billy Porter. Really pleased that Rob McClure was remembered for Chaplin. Was not expecting a nom for Santino Fontana and am REALLY HAPPY he got it.
Patina Miller is most likely going to win Leading Actress (Musical), though I am quietly rooting for Laura Osnes. Pleased by Stephanie J. Block's nomination.
Personal preferences for Featured Actor (Musical): Keith Carradine or Will Chase. I actually have no idea who's going to win.
Featured Actress (Musical) is Andrea Martin's to take home, but I can't resist rooting for Annaleigh Ashford; TBH, I'd be happy with any of the nominees, they all deserve it.
Jekyll & Hyde was completely excluded from nominations, to absolutely no one's surprise.
Shocked that Annie only got one nom and it wasn't for Leading Actress (Musical); especially with the Matildas being recognized separately, it feels like a snub to exclude Lilla Crawford. (Okay, you shouldn't nominate one performer because those other performers got recognized, and had Lilla been nominated she probably would have gotten votes just for being a kid. But it still feels like a snub.)
Equally shocked (but in a positive way!) that Bring It On was remembered with two nominations. It definitely deserves the Choreography nod. Not as sure it deserves the Best Musical nod -- I personally would have substituted Hands On A Hardbody for either Bring It On or A Christmas Story -- but if it means the BIO kids get to perform at the ceremony, GOOD. (They should do I Got You. Come on. Everybody knows they're not winning Best Musical, but "in twenty years it's not a big ol' trophy that I'll miss, but I'll always smile when I remember this!")
Speaking of performances... Matilda should do "When I Grow Up/Naughty", though they might choose something else since that's one of their standard promotional numbers; "Revolting Children" maybe? Kinky Boots should do "Everybody Say Yeah". Cinderella, I'd vote for "The Prince Is Giving A Ball", though more likely they'd do a more familiar standard, like "Ten Minutes Ago" or "Impossible". Pippin? "Magic To Do", maybe. Annie can do "NYC" to spotlight the ensemble, or "Tomorrow" to spotlight their star. If the closed shows perform, Bring It On should do "I Got You", like I said. Drood should do "There You Are", or "The Writing On The Wall". I am actually completely unfamiliar with A Christmas Story, save for hating the movie, so I have no opinions on what they should do.
Not the BEST year, but not a bad one.
