I watched a low-quality livestream because I couldn't stand to wait any longer than absolutely necessary and I'M SO GLAD I DID. I want to watch it again in a higher quality format but even so OH GOD. SO IN LOVE.
I just. CLARA. You know? She's SO GREAT. She's snarky and cheerful and clever and caring and she's so proud of herself when she pulls something off and she does things like carry her coffee mug around with her as she's being chased by Spoonmen and pulled into a time-and-space-ship and ends up on a crashing plane and then back on the time-and-space-ship. SO GREAT. I LOVE HER. STAY FOREVER JENNA.
And the Doctor! "Monks are not cool." He looks so pleased with himself for inventing the quadricycle! He takes copious notes on Clara's dad's ranting about the government! He defeats the monster of the week while sitting at a cafe table over breakfast! He passes off the TARDIS materializing as a piece of street/performance art!
And the Doctor & Clara as a unit! The way he looks at her, the way she snarks at him, the way he handled the "bigger on the inside" reveal, the way she responded to his invitation! (Can you imagine any other Companion pulling that? "Ask me again tomorrow, 'cause I might say yes then. Anytime after seven okay with you?" This is going to happen, but it's going to happen on her terms, completely.)
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
So! Clara is Clara Oswald, and invents Oswin as a joke ("Clara Oswald for the win"). I don't know whether this makes her the root from which the other two spun off, or if we should take Victorian!Clara, the only one with all three names, as the root. SO EXCITED TO FIND OUT. (I don't even know if there is a root. I'm grabbing at straws.)
And the Great Intelligence! Is that our Big Bad for the season? BECAUSE I'M OKAY WITH THAT. (Speaking of, how creepy was the ending of that plot? SO CREEPY, HOLY SHIT.)
And OF COURSE Moffat had to find a way to make people afraid of the Wi-Fi. At least it seems to be a fairly avoidable threat! Just don't join any unknown WiFi networks with cryptic symbols for the name! (Also, if you want to protect your WiFi network from random joiners, use cryptic symbols for the name!)
And Amy became a writer of more than paradox-fulfilling detective fiction!! ♥♥♥
And on a shallow note, THOSE 1209 MONASTERY SHOTS WERE SO PRETTY. AND THE NEW TARDIS IS SO PRETTY. AND CLARA IS SO PRETTY.
