chicafrom3All in all a solid midseason finale. Some weird editing issues (like Emma and Henry chilling by David's bedside immediately after MM runs in in a panicked hurry, frex).
Props to everyone who called Cora being the Queen of Hearts before this episode title was revealed, tho.
And seriously, can Mulan and Aurora just forget about Philip and admit that they're in love with each other? IT'S SO OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE ELSE. Although if resurrecting Philip leads to a Mulan/Aurora/Philip threesome I won't complain; despite the past couple episodes pushing Mulan/Aurora pretty hard, I could still go for the OT3 option.
(Was totally expecting Aurora to kiss Mulan once she got her heart back. Everything about that staging, man, that was "OMG I'm so happy *kiss*" moment territory. What are the OUAT writers and directors doing. Why isn't this incontrovertible canon yet.)
Also, OUAT writers, while you're making Mulan/Aurora canon, try to remember that you can include Emilie de Ravin in more than one scene, and you don't have to knock her out constantly. You can't tell me Belle didn't have something to say about Rumpel's plan.
They're really pushing woobie!Regina this season, aren't they? NOT COMPLAINING. Cora and Hook are decent Big Bad replacements for Regina and Rumpel becoming morally-grey-but-overall-on-the-side-of-good.
