Recursive: 40,209. So that's not going to badly.

I've shelved One Spared To The Sea for the time being. I don't know, something else might happen with it, but not at the moment.

In other news, Ion is having a marathon of old Psych episodes, so that's making me happy. ♥

I was kind of wondering if you were the same person as who requested it for YT last year (and got me into the idea)...you have remarkably similar names... o_O

It wasn't me, I regret to say. Yuletide intimidates the hell out of me and I've never done more than watch it in awe from a distance.

omg whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy IT'S SO WONDERFUL

Are you risk-averse? Cause I was scared to join/kept missing the deadlines or whatever for a while, so actually I do understand that...like, I was nervous about my requests and scared of what I might get asked to write... You should join the comms and just lurk around a bit, and maybe join the pinch-hit list? which is what I did for two or three years beforehand. It's safer because then you know what you're signing up for, if you grab a request? and we have a big spreadsheet too where you can look at people's letters and kind of strategize if you like that kind of thing... Also this post might help you:

Anyway, you obviously don't have to do anything you don't want to, but I am a big dragger-inner of people just, in general, and I love Yuletide and don't think people should be scared of it! (I mean, I get it, but it's a wonderful thing to be a part of and not at all complicated or difficult once you have a sense of it, particularly as it's not like you're my friend who isn't a writer?)

SO IF YOU EVER HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WHATEVER, or want to share more about what scares you or are interested or whatever!!! I'm around.

I have a history of trouble writing to prompt and trouble writing to deadline, so that combined means I'm probably not the best match for Yuletide. (I'm also massively indecisive, which is another reason I've stopped doing fic exchanges! I can't narrow down the things I want that well!)

But mostly it's just that it's a REALLY BIG event and I ... get intimidated, IDK.

But I'll look into pinch-hitting! Who knows, maybe I'll be able to pull something off. :D

I can see how writing to prompt and deadline would be a problem. Those are my favorite kinds of writing almost bar none, so! It works for me hahahaha.

Yes, definitely look into pinching; it's delightful. =) And even if you never participate, oh well, you can still read all the awesome resultant fic! :D
