Good Christmas, man. Presents in the morning, delicious dinner in the afternoon, Doctor Who in the evening. ♫Who could ask for anything more♫
The big sister sent me the first two Sandman collections (Preludes & Nocturnes and The Doll's House), so I have now officially started my physical collection of the series. Woo!
From my parents, I got a significant amount of clothes, plus Professor Layton and the Unwound Future for DS, The Sorcerer's Apprentice on DVD, and a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card. Yay. :DDDD
More relevantly:
Matt Smith makes me feel all happy and fuzzy inside. ILU, Matt. ♥♥
I do regret that Amy and Rory didn't get nearly enough to do, but on the upside Amy's Ghost of Christmas Present act was wonderful.
The SPACE SHARK was awesome. I've now decided that any show can be made MOAR AWESOME by liberal application of SPACE SHARK. And capslock. 'Cause that's how I roll.
Levity aside, it really was a lovely episode. Sentimental and fuzzy and heartbreaking in the right spots. Narratively, I'm glad they opted not to invent a magic cure for Abigail at the last minute. The two-steps-forward-one-step-back pattern with Kazran was also a good narrative decision to make; it's not as easy as showing up once a year for an awesome holiday to get someone completely away from their parents' influence the rest of the year.
Also, DW is stealing the "best child-actor casting EVER" title away from The X-Files. This is quite an accomplishment.
But mostly, SPACE SHARK RAWR :D :D
ALSO, the S6 trailer? OMGWANT ♥♥♥
Hope you're having a wonderful December 25th!
