I feel like the Psych set must be one of the most awesome places on Earth to work. Seriously, it must be so much fun. "Guys, today we need to make Styrofoam snow and also a snowman Gus."
OMG it filled me with so many fuzzy feelings for so many reasons, but the absolute highlight had to be James Roday and Liam James actually in a scene together. "Go to your room. Or do whatever you want. Just go, you're freaking me out." What can I say, I'm easy to please. ♥
I think framing it as a literal dream instead of trying to say that this is actually what Santa Barbara would be like sans Shawn was a good move to make. Partly because it aids suspensions of disbelief but mostly because it afforded a lot of LOLs and slanting events through Shawn's lens of self-importance and quite a bit of ridiculousness just for the sake of ridiculousness. YAY ILU RIDICULOUS SHOW <3 <3
Speaking more generally, was this episode specifically written to make me happy or what? ♥♥♥
Kind of a letdown after the awesomeness that was The Polarizing Express, but not a bad episode; the Gus&Shawn banter was definitely On. IDK, I'm never a big fan when they make Lassiter out to be incompetent 'cause he's self-evidently not; at least they let him have the climactic deduction, even if Shawn had to give it to him. The polar bear was awesome, tho, so that and the banter raises it.
So, um. Good episode, just not ~fabulous~ like TPE was.

I also liked that it was a dream and not a legit "It's a Wonderful Life" although I think some of those would have been vaguely true...like Juliet busting her ass for nothing in Miami and Carlton as Chief....but yeah...I really liked the episode over all.
As for the polar bear episode, will have to watch that one tomorrow. Had to do laundry so I dvr'd it.

Carlton as Chief probably would have happened, yeah, but not to the ridiculous levels of wartime Germany that Shawn's imagination came up with. And I loved the OTT ridiculousness of his Gus fantasy. So ridiculous, so awesome. ♥
