Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. Etc.
Joey Ice Cream/Claire Littleton: It didn't last long. Claire hated being lied to and Joey was inherently incapable of telling her the truth. Too bad, at least while they were together Joey was out of everybody else's hair...
Hamlet/Fox Mulder/Kristen Kilar: The levels of emo made the universe spontaneous combust. It was sad, because we had high hopes for the levels of hot.
Captain Jack Harkness/Kevin Donnelly: It all started when Kevin lost a bet to the strange man in the awesome coat. He soon found himself whisked away from New York into a world of aliens, con artistry, and hot sex.
Beka Valentine/Doyle: When Beka at last confronted the fact that she has lousy taste in men, Doyle was there to comfort her with perfect timing. The expected ensues.
Rommie/Brendan Lahey: "You taking care of my cous, right?" Brendan asked with a tired smile, and Rommie, to her surprise, found herself speechless under the expression...
Seamus Harper/Sean Donnelly: Sean, intent on stepping out of his brothers' shadow and establishing himself as something other than the pretty boy, somehow found himself in the company of a Boston-bred engineer. The level of pretty, flirtation, and snark caused the universe to implode again, after it had barely recovered from the Hamlet/Mulder/Kristen combination.
Jimmy Donnelly/Tommy Donnelly/Kate Farrell: Jimmy was always jealous of whatever Tommy had, and that included the pretty widow.
Kim/Tenth Doctor/Sarah Jane Smith: Kim wasn't sure what to make of the British reporter Sarah Jane. She was even less sure of what to make of the strange brown-haired man that showed up the next day. By the time the robot dog made an appearance, she gave up and just went with it--at least they might call the next day.
Romanadvoratralundar II/Fourth Doctor/Ian Chesterton/Barbara Wright: Crossed timelines led to the Doctor indulging in something he'd always wanted to do, with three people he loved intensely.
Second Doctor/Perpugilliam Brown: While the Sixth Doctor was preoccupied getting reacquainted with Jamie, Peri took it upon herself to make the younger Doctor feel...er...at home, as it were...
Mickey Smith/First Doctor: Mickey had always had problems with the Doctor--a year of being suspected for murder will do that to you--but encountering the Doctor's first reincarnation to some very interesting revelations.
Eighth Doctor/Martha Jones: "I'm a doctor now, you know," Martha informed him; the Doctor nodded thoughtfully and answered, "Ah, yes, I was killed by a doctor last time," and before he could harp on about Grace like he had (would later?) harped on about Rose, Martha kissed him.
Rose Tyler/Ninth Doctor/Ace McShane: Fantastic! Ace and Rose compared notes about dealing with Daleks; the Doctor sulked a bit but couldn't help grinning at his Companions.
Jo Grant/Third Doctor/Harry Dresden: "He's a wizard, Jo," the Doctor said in exasperation; Jo didn't quite believe him, but the man was rather dishy, so she wasn't complaining.
River Tam/Zoe Washburn/Hoban Washburn: When Wash woke up in the morning and discovered not one but two warrior women in his bed, he had no idea how that had happened, but wasn't prepared to start questioning.
Trillian/Zaphod Beeblebrox/Claude: Claude wasn't sure what to make of the strange couple who were currently standing in the street arguing over where they'd parked their spaceship, but he followed them anyway, invisible and intrigued.
D.L. Hawkins/Niki Sanders/Charlie Andrews/Hiro Nakamura: Nobody really remembered whose idea it was. Which probably meant it was Jessica's, but by the time morning rolled around they were pretty much past caring about Jessica's involvement.
Isaac Mendez/Michael Dawson: They met at an art exhibit, and promptly got involved in a discussion about the artist in question's technique. When they were thrown out of the gallery, Isaac invited Michael back to his studio to continue the discussion.
Shannon Rutherford/Charlie Pace: It was just a one-time thing; he was stoned, she was bored, and when they meet on the Island only a year later they don't remember it.
Rose Henderson/Bernard Nadler/Sun-Hwa Kwon: When Rose and Bernard offered to cheer Sun up, this wasn't quite what she'd thought they meant...
Desmond Hume/Penelope Widmore/Paulo/Nikki Fernandez: It wasn't what you're thinking. No cons involved, just an ill-timed attempt at reconciliation.
Rick Blaine/Ilsa Lund/BJ Hunnicut/Margaret Houlihan/Hawkeye Pierce: The laws of physics gave up and declared that if Hawkeye and Rick could coexist without imploding from too much chemistry, then sure, they could all shag all they wanted.
Ash Williams/Spot Conlon/Racetrack Higgins: That damn Necronomicron...Ash landed in 1900 New York, facing yet another Deadite invasion, and wound up recruiting two...er...locals into helping him. Chemistry ensued.
Maureen Johnson/Karen Vick: It was just a stupid little thing. Karen was fresh out of the academy, engaged but not married yet, and drunk; Maureen was, well, Maureen...Karen doesn't talk about it but sometimes she remembers the performance artist with a wicked little smile.
Juliet O'Hara/Shawn Spencer/Burton Guster: It started because Gus and Juliet were caught kissing in Lassiter's office. Shawn was upset and jealous and nobody was really sure whether he was jealous because he'd thought Juliet was into him or because Gus was. Anyway, they made it up to him.
Tess Harding/Kyle Valenti/Grace Hall/Tucker Burns/Wes Freewall: The Chronicle sent their three best out to investigate alien reportings in Roswell. Tess and Kyle made it their mission to distract them, because everyone else had too many morals, or something.
Mary/Toshiko Sato/Ianto Jones: Tosh loved Mary. Ianto loved Tosh. Everything went to hell, but even now you can catch Tosh standing still on the place where she last saw Mary, and Ianto watching her sadly.
Estelle Cole/Carmela Rodriguez/Ronan Nolan, jr.: Ronan didn't know what had possessed Mela to follow him through the time portal, and now here they were, stranded in 1940s London; watching her flirt with a pretty girl in a sundress, he decided he didn't care anymore and that it was true, Mela had no real limits, and went over to join them.
Nita Callahan/Kit Rodriguez/Wade Welles/Quinn Mallory/Rembrandt Brown/Maximillian Arturo: The Sliders had encountered wizards before, but never any quite like Nita and Kit...
Tyr Anasazi/Roger Davis/Mimi Marquez: "Drugs are counterproductive to survival," Tyr informed the young couple curtly; Roger poked Mimi and said jokingly, "See, I told you..."

(Character/inanimate object pairings are some of my favorite. Kevin/Cereal! Kevin/Jacket! Kevin/Sandwich! Charlie/Guitar! Ignatius/Maru! Doctor/TARDIS! Lots more! I'm going to shut up now!)

I was worried I'd have to do Sheppard and Ronin... and that would be kinda awkward.
