FINALLY!

I'm going to go ahead and admit right now that when I saw Jack pouring himself orange juice at the beginning I was disappointed, figuring for Yet Another Jack-centric season opener. But it wasn't! It was Hurley! It made me unspeakably happy. XD

The Oceanic Six: Jack, Kate, Hurley, and three other unnamed survivors. Technically, I figure, Desmond, Ben, Juliet, Danielle, Alex, or any combination thereof could also have gotten off the Island and not be part of the "Oceanic" Six, so I'm limiting my guessing on the last three to crash survivors.

The Claire/Sun/Rose conversation: Cutest thing ever, or cutest thing ever?
"I can't believe I'm going to have my baby in a real hospital!"
"Oh, sure, rub it in."

"I hear Bernard's quite the hero."
"The way I hear it, your man's the real hero, turning off the jamming equipment so we could call the rescuers. So you better treat him real well when we get back."
"Rose!"

When Desmond resurfaced...*flails* And he's trying to tell them that Naomi's lying and they're not who they say they are and everyone's asking for clarification and Hurley's just screaming "Where's Charlie!?" and then the look on Desmond's face when he has to tell them and the way it just shatters the whole group...*sobs* *broken-hearted*

"I don't wanna see the ocean." That line...that line shattered me more than anything else we've seen in the flashforwards yet. It just, it's so simple and obvious and heartbreaking.

"Just...holler if you need me." *squeak* Hurley&Sawyer love. Be a reluctant nice guy more often, Sawyer! And it's so obvious that Charlie's death is screwing Sawyer up, too, and I just, I want to cry for everybody, okay?

Kate hanging up on Mikowski when he starts asking about Naomi: Real bright, honey. Not saying I wouldn't do the same thing because I have avoidance behavioral patterns, but still, not the cleverest thing to do.

Naomi's death freaked me out, firstly because of the blood dripping on Kate, and then the way she stubbornly clung to her story to the very end, and then lying to Mikowski about what happened and "Tell my sister I love her" and *flail, dammit, flail*

If I was Hurley, I would've screamed at Locke's sudden appearance, too.

The reunion scene broke the little bits of my heart that weren't already shattered. Firstly because the Jin/Sun and Rose/Bernard reunions were adorable and I'm a sucker for those and, hey, it was a nice mirror to S2's "Collision". But mostly because of the look on Claire's face. That looking-for-Charlie hopeful please-God look. And then when Hurley approaches her, the look on her face changes, and you can just see that she already knows what he's going to say, she doesn't want to admit it but she knows and she doesn't want it to be true and he doesn't want it to be true and then he says it and they both sob on each other and it killed me dead, oh show why do you do this to me?

CHARLIE!
"I am dead. But I'm also here."
"Prove it."
*slaps Hurley*
"Okay."
And he looks...really cute, all clean-shaven and hair cut short and sunglasses. Seriously, dead!Charlie = way cuter than dead!Boone with his weirdass hair.

...wow, Locke's lucky that gun wasn't loaded.

"Are you insane?!" Hee. Oh, Jack, don't make me like you.

Hurley just completely broke me: "I'm not listening to you. I'm listening to my friend. I'm listening to Charlie." The fact that I spent most of that scene watching Claire struggling to hold herself together (oh, Emilie) just made it worse.

"I'm not goin' anywhere with that man." Have I mentioned that I love Rose?

"You'd look weird with a beard, due." Haha. Hurley, you have no idea.

"WE CAN NEVER GO BACK!" Yeah, just you wait, beardless!Jack, it won't be that long before you'll be popping pills and screaming "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!"

Also...where did the group that stayed with Jack&Kate vanish off to when the helicopter showed up? *confused*

I MISSED MY SHOW SO MUCH. *hugs it tightly* I can't believe we only get seven more episodes this season. :( But it's BACK and as AWESOME as EVER and I'm HAPPY and hopefully my *coughspoilercough* guy will be back soon so I can stop calling him that for y'all on my flist who want to stay unspoiled.

Also, I watched Eli Stone and liked it, I think, although I need a few more episodes to decide. Eli reminded me of Nick George a little bit. And the whole premise is very Joan of Arcadia, isn't it, which isn't a criticism because I liked JoA the season that I watched. And Joan didn't have the lavish musical numbers that ES is promising. Anyway I'm not fannishly sold yet but I'll be watching again next week.
