It was...depressing? It was an open ending. It was pretty appropriate, actually, and well done, but it made me sad for the characters.

Okay.

The final Sliding team:
Rembrandt, the only remaining Original Slider;
Maggie, who they picked up from a dying world back when they were still the Original Sliding Team;
Mallory, a fraternal double of Quinn's who was forcibly merged with him by a mad scientist; and
Diana, a scientist from Mallory's world who came along to help figure out how to separate Mallory and Quinn.

Anyway, these four meet up with the mad scientist who merged Mallory and Quinn (his name's Geiger) and find out the duo cannot be separated without killing one or the other, so they just leave 'em alone. Geiger dies, but first programs their timer to send them back to Remmy's home world (Earth 1), to make up for how badly he screwed them all over.

The wormhole is diverted, however, and they wind up on a world where the Kromaggs have been defeated, and the Sliders are international heroes due to a guy called the Seer, who could see their adventures and turned them into books, comics, a TV show, that sort of thing. They are greeted with enthusiastic and open arms. The Seer tells them that the next Slide they make will kill them.

They: make money by making public appearance. Let Mallory meet Quinn's mother, who was rescued from a Kromagg camp. Find the secret of defeating the Kromaggs.

In the last few desperate moments, Remmy grabs the virus that will kill the Maggs and Slides through the wormhole, leaving Maggie, Diana, and Mallory behind.

It is unknown whether Remmy was successful in reaching Earth 1 and defeating the Kromaggs, and whether his fellow Sliders ever managed to reunite with him. :(
