SO.
This morning. Nine AM. I know it was 9AM because I looked at my clock. Anyway I was in bed and I heard a cat crying outside and I thought, "Oh. Thomas got locked out. Poor baby, I'll go let him in."
This isn't a regular occurrence, Thomas getting locked out and crying to be let in, but it does happen.
Anyway, I got up, stumbled to the front door, opened it, and called for Thomas. Instead, around the corner peeked a little blond kitten, all big eyes. We sort of blinked at each other. I think I said, "You're not Thomas," and he gave me this look like, "Well, you're not who I was expecting, either." In any case, he wasn't Thomas and he wasn't crying anymore and I was tired and not thinking totally clearly so I closed the door and went back to bed.
Forty-five minutes later (srsly, my clock said 9:45AM) I heard more crying. And now I was a little more awake and I felt bad for the kitten so I decided to get up and check on him and maybe bring a little of Thomas's food out for him if he looked like he was hungry.
I opened the door, and saw Thomas sprawled out on the porch, giving the bewildered kitten a death glare. As soon as the door was open, Thomas got up and sauntered in and went to his food dish, and the kitten went off his own way, and I, bewildered, closed the door and went back to bed. It's my vacation, I don't want to be up before ten if I don't have to be.
When I got up for real, I told my mom about all this. She's convinced that I dreamt the whole thing. But it was real. REAL I TELL YOU.
Um. I don't have a cat icon. :/
