A Final Darkness by rjb, Andromeda AU epic
I should not love this fic as much as I do. Of three central pairings, two of them hit my only two Andromeda squicks, Harper/Trance and Dylan/Rommie. It's epic and it takes me hours to read through it. But I love it. It rings true to me, and Harper gets to be badass and Trance gets to be mysterious and Beka's on Flash and Rommie has dissociative personality disorders; AI rights and the situation with Earth are addressed, and there's a lot of things about prejudice and racism in the Andromeda universe. An amazing work.

Okay, yes, I have a weakness for Mickey&Jack (or Mickey/Jack) fics in general. But this one is my favorite and I keep going back to reread it; it plays with the time-travel aspect of the Whoverse with gorgeous results, and the voices of both Mickey and Jack are dead on.

Miles From Where You Are by evilmissbecky, Lost Penny-centric
If you only ever read one Desmond/Penny fic, let it be this one; evilmissbecky nails Penny's voice, and this is an intense study of her relationships with Desmond, her father, Donovan, and the world in general around her; it's seriously beautiful, and I want the show to turn out like this.

Morning Routine by cookiegoilforever, Newsies humor
Just to break up the long line of angst here, a cute little humor piece; Spot's POV on the opening number of Newsies. And, yeah, it's humor and it's crackfic, but Spot's inner monologue is so him it's amazing. And it makes me grin every time I reread it.

Many Young Men of Twenty by nikiness, Black Donnellys Jimmy&Jenny friendship
The show keeps telling us that Jenny has a special relationship with all the Donnelly boys, but so far we've only seen her special relationship with Tommy. This fic's an exploration of the kind of friendship Jenny might have had with another of the brothers (read: Jimmy), and it's lovely, adorable and heartbreaking in turns.
