So, I have a job.

*glees a lot*

It doesn't start until mid-June and it only runs for ten weeks and the money's not great but it's a JOB. In a REAL THEATER. And it comes with room and board and workers' comp and a gym membership that I probably won't use and the fact that I don't drive, much less have a car, apparently won't matter and they sounded pleased to hear that I'm a geek who likes to hang around other geeks.

It's such a relief. In a way, it's kind of like proof -- hey, look, I really can get work in my field, my degree isn't a waste after all!

Ah, but you have a degree. I don't. And apparently I'm not even qualified to pump gas, which is insane, because I have.

Limited run is okay cuz I have school in the fall, and any pay is more than I'm getting now.

Well, I get 84 dollars a week from SGI, which is more than I got when I worked at the Sev (one shift a week), but now my benefits are going down, so I dunno. And a job would be better.

Well it seems to me like people say they want people but they aren't actually hiring. It's insane and I wish people could just be honest about when you're not going to get the job because the girl who did get it is the girlfriend of the editor-in-chief and also on the Board of Directors.

I did not submit 108, although upon seeing it I did go "LOL, I'd read it." And I totally thought of you upon seeing 136. (My second thought involved "I was sad that we wouldn't get anymore flashbacks of the rest of the band." I think I'm maybe slightly overinvested in DriveShaft. XD)
