The Unusuals looks like it might be interesting. More importantly it has Harold Perrineau in what appears to be a major role? Why did no one tell me about this sooner?
Nice call-back to season one with the opening. I had serious flashbacks. ...Not meaningful LOST-style flashbacks, more like an acid trip of "dude, are we back in '01?"
Daniel's mum continues to be freaky, yo.
"Stop looking for where the island was supposed to be, and start looking for where the island was going to be." Are we seriously getting serious answers? We now know why no one could find them, they weren't staying in one place even when they thought they were!
I love Desmond's earnest "you're all fucking crazy" attitude. "He didn't say Jack, he didn't say Sun, he didn't say Ben, he said you!"
Return of crazy!eyes Desmond!
Explanation of the Hajira Airways stuff. Seriously, this is an incredible amount of explanations in a very small amount of time. I'm not sure I can process it all. I do love, though, how Hawking and Ben just take it for granted that the Island has a say in everything that happens ("the Island's not done with you"), and everybody else is just like wtf it's an island.
...I thought it was in Bentham's obituary that he was a suicide, why is Jack all of a sudden "oh, I didn't know, why would Locke kill himself?" I remember someone transcribing what we could see of the obituary way back after S3 and it clearly included the word "suicide".
"Oh, stop thinking how ridiculous it is!" LMAO. Taking a little dig at the fans there, writers?
...I am not invested in Jack's storyline at all. I don't know if this is sad or not.
...and wth happened to Aaron?
Aww, a strangled and awkward explanation of the white tennis shoes.
Wow, this show really likes banging up Michael Emerson. The makeup people must love him, they get to go crazy painting him up almost every week! Also, I have Sweeny Todd-related associations to someone keeping a corpse in their butcher shop, even if said corpse is in a coffin and intact. And am I the only one who would've found it funny if Jack's dad's shoes didn't fit Locke and Jack was floundered and just wound up tossing the shoes in the coffin? ...my sense of humor is a little off.
More S1 flashbacks! "If you'll just bear with me..." Apparently it's a lot easier to bring a friend's body into Guam than it is to bring your dad's body to the States.
Yunjin is absurdly pretty. And continuing to sell me on Sun/Jin when they're not even in the same general area.
I'm very glad Des didn't wind up on the plane. Nothing can happen to my golden couple anymore, okay? Desmond and Penny have to stick out the last two seasons together.
Hurley bought 70-odd seats on a plane so people wouldn't be on it when it crashes! I LOVE HIM. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. CAPSLOCK IS INDEED NECESSARY TO EXPRESS MY LOVE.
Do airline attendants really not care if you show up for your flight covered in blood? I mean, I realize it's not really their business. But still. That seems odd. I feel like were I one of them I'd be asking if he maybe needed medical attention for his bleeding headwound.
"The other people on this plane, what's gonna happen to them?" "Who cares?" And never has the difference between Ben Linus and Hugo Reyes been so simply and clearly illustrated.
FRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An infinite number of exclamation points! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ An infinite number of hearts! IT'S FRANK! MORE CAPSLOCK IS NECESSARY! ...I heart him. "Wait a second. We're not going to Guam, are we?" I LOVE YOU, FRANK. If Frank doesn't survive the crash, I will be inconsolable for a while.
...and here it comes...
Ooh, time-jumping off the plane rather than crashing? Pretty cool.
Reenact the first few moments of the episode... "Do either of you remember crashing?" "No."
Dude, it's the Dharma bus! ♥ And Jin! YAY JIN.
A surprisingly satisfying episode, given how little of it happened on-Island. <3 Next week looks meaty.

I have a hard time believing anyone--even the writers--are invested in Jack's storyline. The other characters are simply so much more interesting.
I'm so glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking that about the shoes! As soon as he picked them up, I was like 'No! Take something that will fit no matter what! They'll be too small.' And then they weren't and I was a little disappointed.
Both Hurley and Frank deserve MAD CAPSLOCK LOVE! Also, Frank's beard needs to return. Yes.

Frank DEFINITELY needs his hippie beard back. He looks weird without it! It suits him.

Frank looks so strange without the beard. I might not have recognized him had the people around me not been greatly excited by his return.
