I still don't understand the show's timeline at all. (HOW ON EARTH HAD RILEY NEVER MET MAYA'S DAD BEFORE. HOW. WHY DID TWELVE-YEAR-OLD MAYA THINK RILEY DIDN'T KNOW SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE HER DAD WAS. WHY.)
But still. "I SAY WE'VE KNOWN YOU SINCE YOU WERE A LITTLE KID." "How do we do that?" "With a musical number!"
I don't know whether Lucas has always been a sixteen-year-old jock or if Maya and Riley accidentally changed history with their musical number of AWESOME, but I am choosing to believe both are true.
And then Cory tries to turn it into a teachable moment and they all shoot him down. Except Farkle. Sometimes I look back at the earliest episodes of GMW and I am shocked by how much Farkle has grown on me, but I kind of adore him now.
The flashback to Auggie's birth gave me so many Cory/Topanga feels. "Only I could lose a pregnant Topanga!"
"Are you a stranger?" "Yeah." "Are you a stranger coming through my window?" "Yeah." "Then AAAAAH!"
"I like singing better than yelling. Please don't yell." :( Poor bb!Maya.
And on the other had, Riley's a lot of trouble. She's going to be the dangerous one. ♥
"Are you me?" "Yeah." "Prove it." "I don't have to, you believe everything." "*gasp* It's us!"
And then grownup!Riley&Maya made me cry some more, wow.
That was an adorable and devastating episode.
