I'm still frustrated by how dumb Henry is being. OPEN YOUR EYES, KID.
I feel like Regina's "the rest of them are a liability" speech was intended by the writers to remind us that she's technically a bad guy, but she's right, they were way more interested in standing around complaining about love triangles than actually trying to recover Henry.
This show really pushes the "parents and kids should stay together" message. I mean it always has, the Rumple/his dad storyline just reminded me of that. ONLY BAD PARENTS HIRE BABYSITTERS, KIDS.
Look! The whole gang's reunited! NOW JUST GET HENRY BACK AND GET OUT OF NEVERLAND.
Aw, nobody's listening to Rumple pointing out that he's willing to sacrifice himself for Henry now. Nope! There was prophecy that Henry would be Gold's undoing! We can't possibly believe that the prophecy will actually be fulfilled, we have to believe Gold is planning to kill Henry! ...okay, the fact that at one point he actually was planning to kill Henry at one point strengthens their argument a bit.
"I didn't think I had any talent."
Baby!Rumple is just way too cute and I want to hug him and find him good parents and prevent him from ever becoming the Dark One. Although that would break the whole show.
"The truth is he's at the pub. He doesn't want a job."
Harsh but probably accurate. (And OMG Rumple got a magic bean as a kid?? His whole life's revolved around portals to other worlds, hasn't it?)
AND THEN HE ACTUALLY LEARNS SOMETHING AND SURRENDERS PANDORA'S BOX WHEN BAE ASKS FOR IT. Aww. Character development.
And then Neal prompts a flashback like a good exposition fairy.
Aww. I really, really want to hug baby!Rumple. "You said you were finding a job!"
"This bean can take us someplace where no one knows us! Where we can be a family!"

I actually do kind of love how all the bad parents on this show have reasons dating back to their own parents for their bad parenting skills. But dammit, Rumple's dad, Neverland? BAD CHOICE.
"Fine, I'll do as you ask."
That was ... surprisingly well-played by Gold. He plants the idea in everybody's head that he can save David, stays in character and claims that he'll only do it for a favor, Neal tells him to do it with no strings attached to prove that he's trustworthy, and he agrees. Not bad. He looks more altruistic without looking super fake about it.
Hi Wendy! And now Bae and Wendy have been reunited and I'm getting all misty-eyed. LOOK AT THAT HUG.
"You told her I was dead?"
"Easier than telling the truth, that my own father abandoned me."
*puppydog look into flashback*
"But best of all, you can fly."
*tries and fails*
"Maybe you can't fly because you're not a boy anymore."
That's the core problem, though, isn't it? The guy's never grown up. [Oh God please tell me Rumple's father doesn't turn into Peter Pan, this show's core family tree is messed up enough already.]
And Gold sees right through Wendy. Not that she's a very convincing liar anyway, tbh.
"Your brothers did. They trusted a woman named Belle. They helped her get this box so we can defeat Pan."
Pan's dying? Innnnnteresting.
"And what happens to Henry?"
"Well, it's a trade. When Pan lives, Henry will die."

THEY'RE SPLITTING UP AGAIN. (I shouldn't be as annoyed by this as I am, but gdi DON'T SPLIT THE PARTY.)
Did ... did Rumple's dad just do the Dark One giggle? HE DID DIDN'T HE?
Dude, did it ever occur to you that your kid doesn't want to hear about how much you want to be alone and free?
Man, Pan's shadow (or...whoever's shadow) is creepy as hell.
Seriously, Neal? You didn't notice until this moment that Rumple doesn't cast a shadow anymore? At least he finally believes Gold isn't planning to kill Henryanymore.
"You better come through with this, Gold, or I'll make whatever Pan's planned for you look like child's play. You hear me?"
"Well, a simple good luck would've sufficed."
And now Emma and Regina are teaming up to magically block the moon. Rockstars.
Henry, why haven't you realized how sketchy all of this is and run away? RUN AWAY.
"You were right. Neverland is just for children. Adults don't belong here."
I have a really bad feeling about this scene.
"By letting go of the thing that was holding me back. You."
GDI. I hate you, Rumple's dad.
"I was never meant to be a father."
You SUCK.
...Ugh. I really did not want that plot twist. But, I mean, everybody's related to Henry Mills apparently?
"Do you think I want to be with you? That I could ever forgive you after you abandoned me?"
Echoes and echoes. (Although really, the trend of parents looking the same age as/younger than their kids/grandkids is getting a bit excessive.)
Pan's such an asshole.
"Oh, I'm gonna make a fresh start. Just not with you."
DAMMIT.

So Pan named himself after his son's doll? That's ... that's some creepy shit.
