chicafrom3Okay, verdict: Mel is suddenly becoming my favorite of the girls, and now I really want Melanie/Cozette to happen. Ginny/Frankie can happen as well if they want to tie up loose ends, but Melanie/Cozette needs to be a thing that exists. (That scene with Ginny showing up at roller derby to demand an explanation/apology of Melanie after she missed the photoshoot and then exploding at Cozette? Wow. That really did come off as "How dare you try to steal my girlfriend!") (I would seriously be willing to give up Boo/Sasha for Melanie/Cozette.)
(Maybe not entirely.)
Speaking of Sasha, WTF, where was she? No Boo last week, no Sasha this week? Is there some kind of scheduling thing that they need to give each of the girls an episode off? (There was also no Fanny, which was slightly less bizarre because I already knew Kelly Bishop wasn't going to be in every episode and there's precedence for Fanny taking random vacations.)
Ginny's "I drove you off"-monologue was spectacular. What the actual hell, sweetheart. I didn't know whether I wanted to give you a hug or strangle you a little.
Could've done without the Boo/Carl/kids plotline, but Jordan's opening rant about how the dance class killed Baryshnikov was almost enough to make up for it.
And Cozette's reaction to Michelle telling her she wasn't precisely perfect and there was something she needed to work on! NO REALLY I'M SERIOUSLY WARMING UP TO THE FLAWLESS DUO CAN YOU TELL? (Or at least Cozette. Still kind of lukewarm/vaguely amused towards Frankie, whose only personality so far is "sits in the corner drawing and makes mildly creepy mildly flirty comments towards Ginny".)
Also, yay Hunter Foster! It's so fun seeing the Foster siblings playing a brother-and-sister pair, and they had a great dynamic, particularly in scenes with Godot and in Michelle's gradually increasing irritation with Scotty.
And I may have cheered out loud when Michelle gave her speech declaring her intent to stay in Paradise and to make her life solid and to make it matter. Yes, you can do this!
