it's fun to see how bad bad writing can be

I'm kind of strangely proud of the fact that when I impulse-signed-up for Camp Nanowrimo yesterday I had nothing except a wide-encompassing genre, and now, after a day of brainstorming and writing down every random thought about this possible story I had, I now have a little worldbuilding, the beginnings of a plot, and most of the cast.

Admittedly, I stole one of the main characters from a failed months-old writing project and another is a heavily-reworked version of a character I've been toying with for years, but still. Progress!
