i stand for the power to change
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it, and happy Thursday November 27th to those who don't!
The older sister opted not to come home with the new brother-in-law, so, yeah, I still haven't met him. The younger brother is here, however, and has actually managed to stay home an astonishing percentage of the time.
My main contribution to Thanksgiving dinner -- the chocolate pie; yeah, I can't cook -- has been made and is now setting in the fridge. I clearly am not very accomplished at helping out. But I did go out with my dad earlier this morning to pick up some last-minute ingredients? So I hope that counts as being useful.
Watched bits and pieces of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. My dad made fun of me because I rolled out of bed and came into the living room as Idina Menzel was getting ready to sing. "What, you heard 'Broadway' and you had to get up?" Well, yes, basically. But Idina! And Kristin! And Kermit the Frog! *is dork*
Best part of the parade (and, unfortunately, one I missed on the actual broadcast and had to go YouTube hunting to find):
