I started my new job today, and I also got five (five!!!) gifts for Yuletide, and they are all brilliant, I can't pick a favorite, I am reccing them all to you right now you should read all of them.

A Look What You Made Me Do fic, in which multiple versions of Taylor Swift team up to steal a statue. With backstabbing. And revenge plots. And a body-stealing, murderous zombie you can't help but root for. And some fantastically sneak-up-on-you creepy worldbuilding.

Another Look What You Made Me Do fic taking things in a completely different direction. A memory-wiped clone of Taylor Swift discovers that she's been created to act as a diversion in spy missions and struggles with her identity, her relationship with her fellow clones, and her place in the world. Also features my new OTP Becky/Rory which I will now ship forever.

Fizz goes back to The Greenroom for some advice.
A Julie's Greenroom fic, in which Fizz, all grown up, returns to the Greenroom to seek Miss Julie's help and runs into Peri there as well. Utterly charming, as sweet and optimistic as the source material; this is what Fizz's future must and does look like.

Etta Perrault meets a coworker.
A The Bridge fic, short and perfect; Etta's first encounter with Bob Specimen 10, as a new recruit. Also features a brief and exactly in-character cameo from Roger. I hope the podcast never goes into much detail about this part of the backstory, because this is my new headcanon.

You Are WTF?

As far as you're concerned, the internet is getting weirder and weirder. And you're the type of person who can never look away, no matter how bizarre or gross something is. No doubt about it, there are some pretty deeply disturbing people out there. And they are totally shameless! You can't help but say, "What the f*?" There really is no other appropriate reaction.

I went and saw a doctor. I don't like doctors. Anyway they told me that I have bronchitis and actue sinusitis and wrote me out a prescription. At least this explains why I haven't been getting better? Yeah, that's not really a big comfort.


Because I am nothing if not illogical, I ignored all the wonderful, sensible advice you lovely people gave me, called Busch, and turned down the job. What it boils down to is that I really don't want to work there again this summer. I found a few more places to apply (including a theater job in central NY that would be perfect for me if I had a driver's license) and I'm gonna work at finding a job somewhere that isn't here, because given that Carnival still hasn't called me back I'm not putting a ton of faith in them.

Also, have I mentioned that I love you guys? I love you guys. *hugs* *cuddles* I wish I had a better way of expressing how I appreciate what great friends you all are. ♥

I am in North Carolina, home of absolutely nothing.

Let's not talk about that. So this is just a note that, yes, I arrived safely, flight didn't crash, etc.

And I'm never going to be a college undergrad again. :/ It's done. That part of my life is over. I have to be, like, an adult or something now. (Grad school, here I come! ...once I have the money, that is. Eeeugh.) It was really sad leaving everybody, I got hugged so many times I lost count...Steve made sure I was the one who locked everything up on Friday after work, and then he and Ashley and Melissa took me out to Wendy's for a goodbye-ice-cream, and then Saturday morning before I left Amanda and Jane and Natalie took me to breakfast and we all cried and hugged and said goodbye and swapped addresses and they gave me a scarf. I think everybody I saw in the last few days tried to emotionally blackmail into coming back for either Pippin or graduation.

I got stuff for my sister's Christmas present. Which means that all of my immediate family I have left to shop for is my kid brother. I also still have to pick up Teh Niki's gift, but I am fairly sure I know what I'm going to get her. Ys. it's just a question of getting to a store that has it.
