Like legit snow, like four inches, not like usual North Carolina ~snow. I know four inches is not objectively a lot, but this is coastal North Carolina.

My mom was supposed to fly up to New York today to visit the older sister for a week but her flight was postponed 'til tomorrow because of the snow.

So yeah.

Er, in other news...

- I am doubtful about the validity of the LOST 'leaked first four minutes of 5x01'. Mostly based on the fact that virtually none of it is new footage.

- I have unexpectedly scored a $15 iTunes gift card. I have so far spent ~$5 of it (I got Raul Esparza singing O Holy Night and I am attempting to rent The Great Muppet Caper ~~because I am a geek~~ but it's having some difficulty downloading). Any recommendations on what to spend the remaining $10 on?

bwaydaily's general consensus on Corbin Bleu appears to be that he's surprisingly good as Usnavi. I am so curious about his performance, negl.

- There is webcomic wank at fandom_wank, omg. It's hilarious. But someone in the comments linked to Darths & Droids and I spent last night archive-binging. Tragic, really. I'm now caught up and subscribed to the RSS feed. Are there any other webcomics I should be reading but am not? Because I should really just get all the archive-binging out of the way at once.

IT IS AMAZING. I'm behind on it, because I'm used to webcomics THAT NEVER UPDATE, but it will eat your life. And by life, I mean... The entire day you start reading it.

That's why I use RSS feeds! And I am an expert archive-binger. I can lose days to catching up. :D

So visually Connor is disturbingly similar to an OC of mine. Not quite as tall and the eyes are, obviously, different but otherwise really similar. And that character has an older brother called Conor which just makes it even weirder.

In other news, I'm up to episode 34 and I love it. <3

I personally think it's real because seriously...leave it to the LOST crew to completely recap those last moments and then have that like one minute of WTF before starting the episode. So I think it's real.

But it needs to be Tuesday already...first time EVER that Lost has premiered on my birthday so it's gonna be a full on Lost day for me!

Ahaha. Yes. That is something the LOST team would do. Dammit. ...not long until we find out conclusively, though!

That's so exciting! I've never had LOST on my birthday, premiere or otherwise, so congratulations. :P I'm really ready for my show to come back, no lie, truth.

And you should read Questionable Content. It's hilarious. I feel that you will adore Hannelore. She doesn't show up until later on, but it's definitely worth reading. And the art progression... wow. As you will see the difference between the art on the newest comic and when you go back to the first.

We did! It's ridiculous how everything's shutting down, though. :/ They canceled my mom's postponed flight, too, which is completely ridiculous. It's not even supposed to snow as heavily as it was this morning again. Fail, Virginia.

I do read Questionable Content! I love it! And I love Hannelore, she's wonderful and makes me grin. :D And yes, also agreed on the art progression. I sometimes forget about it and then go back and look at older comics to remind myself of some detail and have to blink and stare for a bit. He's gotten a lot better at it as time goes by.

Haha it's so cute when places that don't normally get snow do get snow and everyone panics. ^_^

Oh fantastic! I hardly know anyone who reads it. I took a picture of Dora with me today to get my hair cut. XP Not so I'd look like Dora (I don't, I look like Faye), but her hair was closest to what I wanted. I had gotten my hair like Faye's before (and then looked exactly like her XP) but now their hair is so similar anyway. And Dora's is shorter, so I won't have to get a trim as soon.

I was amused by the Pintsize-meets-Mieville-meets-Hannelore comic recently. I'm pretty sure Iove that cat. Glad to see him again ^_^ I'm not sure how smoothly the transition of Dora living with Marten and Faye is going to go... I foresee difficulties.

We've found another airline with a flight up to Syracuse this afternoon, so, fingers crossed that this one will actually get her up there.

That's so cute! I am far too attached to my long hair to do anything like that ~~and I don't look remotely like any of the cast~~. But that's so adorable. And Dora's hair is adorable. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the letting-the-blonde-grow-out period, but that's only to be expected. ;)

I'm actually really interested in how well Mieville integrates into the Marten-Faye-Pintsize household. I maybe have weird priorities. But, yes, Dora and her cat are definitely going to run into difficulties. That's what makes compelling webcomics! :D

Except in panel 16. XP And especially in the fifth panel (first she's in) and the last panel. But seriously... well I don't have reddish hair anymore because I dyed it... but short hair, glasses, big breasts, a bit of "squishiness" around the middle... This is the closest I've come to looking like a celebrity, so I grabbed onto it. XP

Mieville hasn't met Hannelore's Roomba yet. That should be interesting XP We have a Roomba and we kept the cat away from it because she's terrified of vacuum cleaners. Now the cat's gone and the Roomba keeps trying to molest the DVD player.

If you have weird priorities, so do I! Though it sounds like Jeph was getting a lot of emails about Mieville, so it might be a QC-fan thing. Pintsize's control of their household is at an end, I think. I also think Faye might have trouble dealing with Dora actually living with them now. I mean she was there most of the time but now she actually lives with them. There's a kind of permanance about it.

She made it! And also my sister is having a boy. I'm going to have a nephew! *is still a little weirded out by this*

...okay, now I'm imagining a Mieville/Roomba faceoff. AND IT'S AWESOME. :D

My brother's wife is expecting their third... I think it's a boy but they won't tell us. The first two are girls. But as the youngest sibling having nieces/nephews is nothing new XP At least you live far enough away that you won't have to babysit a lot.

My money (if I had any) is on Mieville.

I don't think I would be allowed to babysit much anyway. I feel like my sister probably thinks me + small children = bad. And also she is probably right. :D

Oh, yeah. I'd definitely put $500 Monopoly money on Mieville.
