If you believe in aliens, clap your hands! Clap your hands, everybody!

Today we hit the mall, and I bought two Terry Pratchett books (my Discworld collection continues slowly to grow!), "The Cheap Detective" on DVD (what an awesomely ridiculous movie), a new pair of earphones for my iPod (I'm just really hard on earphones...and my last pair my cat decided made a good chew toy), and two new hats -- a Marvin the Martian ballcap which is adorable but I probably won't wear much and a pinstriped fedora which I already love to ridiculous amounts and plan to wear a lot.

I think I may have a small addiction to hats.

Anyway.

I'm all caught up on my various fandoms, I think, except for Kings -- I still have the two-part finale to watch. But other than that. The Pushing Daisies finale made me very depressed, by the way. BUT THE POINT IS. I'm making progress!

I hate the network so, so much. Because it's so obvious that it was intended to be a series finale, and they threw in all the wrapping-up-threads bits as a last-ditch effort to give the series some kind of conclusion, and it's so depressing, because there's so much there. :(

...also, I'm still depressed that Olive didn't end up with 'Fredo, but that's just shipper-sad.

I know! As much as I appreciated the epilogue, it broke my heart at the same time because the show obviously still had so much left to tell us. Basically, what ABC did was take a bus full of babies who could've turned out to be the next Mozart, Einstein, etc ... and pushed it off a cliff. Damn ABC.

I don't mind Randy (in fact, I kind of like him and his dorky ways since I can see how Ned and he might be good friends), but I suspect had the show lived on, Fredo would return (when the actor could come around and shoot) because I think Olive had recognized her feelings for him at the end of "Bittersweets."

Exactly! *sulks more*

I like Randy and totally dig the Randy/Ned friendship stuff, and he's cute with Olive and all, I'm just kind of diehard about my Olive/Alfredo. Which is probably because of how much I fangirl Raul Esparza, but the point stands. My crazy shipper preferences, let me show you.
