wdhat this country needs...is a Doctor.

I need a better OT3 icon.

OMG OMG OMG.

So brilliant. How brilliant? So brilliant.

I am so in love with Martha. I really, really am. And she is going to kick ass and save the world next weekend, I just know it.

The Gallifrey stuff? Awesome. Silly collars and hats! And it worked! And Loooooooooooommmmmmmmmssssssss!! have been disproven! Wasn't the Master a cute kid? (Speaking of which, the Master and the Doctor were TOTALLY college boyfriends. Not that I have ever doubted that before, but now it is CANON. Sort of. Borderline.)

"You too, huh?" Jack/Martha sexing now plz. And Jack trying to contact Torchwood 3! And them being sent off to the Himalayas! *pictures Tosh and Ianto in the Himalayas* That's so ridiculously cute. Er, in a not-cute sort of way. You know what I mean. Maybe.

...kay, I have developed a ridiculous and totally unfounded love for Martha's dad during this episode. (Although, why wasn't Annalise brought in as well? Did they somehow manage to break up in the four days since we saw them last? *confused* Not that I mind all that much, as Annalise was annoying beyond all words.) Also kind of crushing on Leo and glad that he managed to escape capture. ♥

But mostly loving hard on Martha and Jack. And the Doctor. David Tennant does quiet-and-intense SO WELL, like in the phone sex scene with the Master--why do they write him as being shouty? He's so much scarier when he's quiet-and-intense! And John Simm has completely won me over, he's creepy and charismatic all at once.

NOW WE JUST NEED ROMANA TO SHOW UP, PLZKTHNX.

IS IT NEXT WEEK YET?

Is it bad, that the thing that made me cry was the TARDIS? It really did look about to die.

I'm a little confused about the timeline. General Election means it must be 2008... but I thought the Torchwood finale was set in 2007? How on earth are they going to explain Jack being away for that much time (to Torchword 3, not the viewers)?

Also... John Barrowman has put on weigh and not a little.

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
No. You have no idea how badly it broke my heart to see what the Master did to the TARDIS. :( It's not fair! She's always supposed to be safe! Sacred ground, or something.

As for the timeline...I have no idea. :/ But then, dating DW has always been a challenge...

[identity profile] ninja-headcrab.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you think she can be fixed? It looked rather bad.

Well... we know this epsidoe was definately on May 5th and 6th 2008, but I kinda hate it when things have a set date, takes the mystery out.

A few places have brought this up and its freaks me. Do you think this could be the end of 10? Because the BBC has not confirmed that Tennant is back next series.

Oh and that phone scene? How sexual was that?

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
She has to be fixable! If she's not, then that...that...that just breaks all the rules of the game!

And I really, really hope we can hold on to 10 for a while longer. :/ Some of the spoilers look good--filming photos point to Ten, Martha, and Jack all being together, and Ten being young again, by the end of the episode. So I'm hoping?

Oh and that phone scene? How sexual was that?
Ridiculously sexual. Astonishingly sexual. I thought Torchwood was supposed to be the "adult" spinoff, how come DW is so much sexier?

[identity profile] ninja-headcrab.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to say considering shes the last TARDIS, that I think she will survive hopefully. RTD is good, but he can't seriously have the Dcotor bouncing around with Jack's manipulator from now on, can he? I am wondering through, whether is is a catalyst for a TARDIS make-over. RTD did say something during series 2 that he had thoughts about re-doing the TARDIS a bit.

Spoilers? Filming photos?

I'm so picking up the Torchwood sexual theme here. Its kinda unfortunate that they can't explore the darker side of DW on the show itself. But its a family show and the BBC know they have to keep the homosexuality low or none of the American networks will pick the show up, just look at Torchwood (no offense intended to you btw).

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
...wouldn't totally mind a catalyst for a TARDIS makeover. But she has to survive!

*cough cough*

Haha, no offense taken, I know exactly how much is wrong with our society. *sigh* It sucks but it's there. Trust me, we were all pleasantly shocked that Sci-Fi didn't cut out the Jack/Doctor kiss in Parting of the Ways.

...but I'd still kill for SF to pick up Torchwood. :(

[identity profile] ninja-headcrab.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't mind a change, especially if the Doctor had no idea where everything was. :P

The kiss wasn't cut?! I'm actually a little shocked at that.

I'll avoid the spoilers actually... I don't want to be spoiled now!

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
That would actually be a little awesome. xD The TARDIS redecorating herself for revenge, and the Doctor being totally lost!

The kiss wasn't cut! I remember watching it first-run-on-SciFi and cheering when Jack kissed the Doctor because I'd been certain they would cut it. And they didn't!

[identity profile] ninja-headcrab.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my I can see it now!

Doctor- Why is everything changed?

TARDIS- Because it was your fault.

Doctor- What? The Master cannibalised you!

TARDIS- Yes, but you were dumb enough to leave the door open and unguarded...

Doctor- But I was the last... I didn't know there was anyone else who could fly you!

TARDIS- What is that supposed to mean?

DOCTOR- Ummm... nothing.

TARDIS- FINE! Lets see you get along without me!

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
YES PLZ.

Can this be canon? *hopeful*

[identity profile] missscarlett.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 12:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I keep getting the urge to write Tochwood-in-the-Himalayas fic. Must...resist...temptation...

Martha's brilliant. Really, really brilliant. She's finally come into her own as a character so much since this latter half of the season. I do hope she saves the day and gets a chance to show that she's just as good as Rose (if not better) and do some really awesome kick butt things next week.

Simm!Master is so hot. I always fall hard for the bad boys...why? And there were so many totally slashy Master/Ten moments throughout the episode. I loves it (even if it's giving me even MORE plot bunnies).

Did you ever watch any of Life On Mars? If you like Simm, watch that. Sam Tyler couldn't possibly be a more different character to Saxon/The Master. He's such a diverse actor.

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No! Don't resist! ♥

Martha is really so, so amazing. As far as I'm concerned she's officially The Best Of Them All Since Barbara. This is possibly biased by absolute adoration of Babs. But Martha is v. v. close. :D

I haven't seen any Life On Mars, but I'd love to, I've heard great things about it!

[identity profile] missscarlett.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Barbara yet...I've still got so much Old School Who to work through. I'm going through Seventh Doctor episodes at the moment, but when I've seen all those I'll be eager to pick another era to work though. There's just so much. It's great having so much to select from, though I think I'll probably reach fifty and STILL be catching up, LOL.

Life On Mars is absolutely fantastic. I didn't get it the first time around but I saw the light and fell in love eventually. Watch it...I defy you not to fall in love with Gene Hunt.

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Barbara is lovely and I have an irrationally huge adoration of her. Of course, she's also a strong, self-assured, capable, clever woman in the sixties! :D But I know what you mean--there's so much old school Who, I look at it sometimes and I get overhwelmed at the idea of getting caught up on it. XD

Okay, now I have to get my hands on LOM! LOL, it sounds awesome.

[identity profile] missscarlett.livejournal.com 2007-06-25 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay, now I have to get my hands on LOM! LOL, it sounds awesome."

CoughtorrentspyCough.

It is awesome. Needs to be watched in order, though. There's only sixteen episodes in total so it shouldn't take long. :)

(Speaking of which, the Master and the Doctor were TOTALLY college boyfriends. Not that I have ever doubted that before, but now it is CANON. Sort of. Borderline.)

I thought so too. There's too much subtext for it not to be canon. Or mostly canon.

[identity profile] chicafrom3.livejournal.com 2007-06-24 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
They're so...textual. It's hardly even subtext even more. I mean, really. "I like it when you use my name"?
