I'm a professional. Used to lie for a living.

I'm shipping Horace/Amy a bit and I don't entirely know why.

Mechanic!Juliet was adorkable, and I'm not even much of a Juliet fan. Similarly, Sawyer was very on this episode, and while I care more about him than the rest of the Love Rectangle O' Doom that's not really saying much, but I did love him actually showing us that he could be a half-decent con artist. (Okay, really, I love Sawyer, I do, but all his flashback cons were incredibly poor. I saw absolutely no evidence that he was a passable con man. But he was great this episode. Oh, Jim LaFleur. It's Creole.)

Miles continues to be win and awesome and a better deadpan snarker than Sawyer. His "Sure, we'll go to the beach. Then when you get bored we can go back to the Orchid. Then back to the beach. Then back to the Orchid. 'Cause that's the only two plans you people have" was wonderful.

I am still not ready to forgive the writers for what they did to Charlotte. But baby!Charlotte was adorable and broke my heart. Dan reacting to what happened to Charlotte broke my heart in general, but specifically his reaction to baby!Charlotte.

Not enough Jin. I hope one of the reasons (or side effects, I ain't picky) for the three-year gap is to gloss over Jin-learning-English and thus be able to give Daniel more lines in the main storyline.

I dug the "what, the polar bears 'll get out of their cages?" bit at the beginning of the episode. I miss the polar bears. I miss weird and random things.

Okay. Enough of character-specific observations, and onto general observations.

I think the three years earlier/three years later thing was well done although I wish they'd found a way to do it without title cards. It was nice to see the Islanders as they were three years on, settled into the Dharma lifestyle, and then go back and find out how they got to that point.

The surviving MCs are (almost) all reunited, and I've given up hope of finding out about Rose and Bernard and the other missing redshirts. If after three years they haven't turned up at Dharma they're probably not even in the same timeframe as the MCs. If they're even still alive. I bitterly hold onto the hope that they're still alive, but safely in the future. It'll be interesting to see how the O6 react to (a few of) the people they left behind comfortably settled in with the Dharma Initiative and living happy, separate lives.

A lot happened this episode, and we've still barely moved forward from two episodes ago.

I thought this episode was really well done. Although I agree if they could've left out the title cards I would've been a happier person. I'm loving Juliet and Sawyer together I lot more than I expected to, and if Kate fucks things up (which she will, of course) I will throw something.

I will not admit how excited I am to see them all wandering around and having adventures in the 70s.

Juliet and Sawyer were unexpectedly cute. I'm...not excited to see the Return Of The Love Rectangle Of Doom once Kate and/or Jack has a chance to get jealous. That's not gonna be fun.

Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, Miles, and Daniel HAVING ADVENTURES in THE 70S would be an amazing TV show on its own, no lie. ♥
