No, seriously! I told my mom that there's a 50/50 chance of me surviving this or drowning completely, and she told me there's no chance of me drowning, and fifteen seconds later is talking about all the ways I'm like to fail, like my extreme difficulty motivating myself to do things I don't want to do, and how hard it is for me to talk to people, and how standing up for myself is something that happens erratically, and all that and you know I'm going to drown trying to do this.

Well, at least I'll be learning to be an adult at the exact same time (Evie and I move into our apartment on Saturday), so at the very least we can flail at each other? It's... something. (The really ridiculous thing is, I haven't told my parents I'm moving. Or that I have an apartment. Or anything. I should really... do that...) Responsible adulthood is terrifying.

Once the newness of it all wears off and you settle into your new groove, you are gonna love being captain of your own ship! You're not gonna sink, you're gonna SOAR! :D

That would be so much more inspirational-sounding if I hadn't just mixed my sailing-ships/soaring-planes (or birds) metaphors. :S But still! Hopefully the meaning got across my tossed salad of metaphors anyway! ;)
