chicafrom3There were thirty episodes in this season and somehow despite numbering them all as I went along I didn't realize that until just now.
Einstein's end-of-the-year prank was to kidnap Farkle. So the other kids kidnapped their mascot goose. That's adorable. (Alt post title: Donnie Barnes, regular goose!)
Also: Zay at Vanessa's spring formal. AWWW. (That said, I really want more of him ACTUALLY IN EPISODES next season.)
There's an adorable Topanga/Maya hug and I melted. I love their relationship. Topanga is the best best-friend's-mom ever.
I don't love the triangle. I don't even like the way the writers keep saying on Twitter that it's not actually a triangle. (IT'S A TRIANGLE AND IT SUCKS. I hate love triangles. If I ever write a love triangle shoot me.) Lucas's cards were cute, though. And, yes, "we're just friends. that's all we are." is the best way this stupid triangle can resolve. Dear God please let this stupid triangle resolve soon.
Pleased to see the return of Maya's art teacher. (Okay, everyone's art teacher. But really Maya's art teacher.) The science teacher and Harley also show up and it's nice to see the writers remembering that staff members other than Cory exist, but I love that art teacher, okay.
Oh, and Riley's purple cat! "I think everybody should leave their mark."
Other things: Zay was included on the friendship bench despite not being present for the choice. Then he showd up unexpectedly at the end! ZAY I MISSED YOU. Reframing the triangle as a choice between Zay and Farkle was adorablealthough I still would prefer there was no triangle. Katy tried to study neurobiology at college. Minkus does not want Farkle to choose his college based on where his friends go.
And the class prank was stealing Cory Matthews to take to high school with them! THAT'S SO CUTE. And it's a much better explanation than Feeny just randomly turning up every time Cory, Shawn, and Topanga moved up a grade.
I have to dock a point for the stupid love triangle (I really, really hate triangles) but otherwise this was a grade-A episode and I love it. Now onto season three and high school!
