Well, that's an interesting backstory for the Knave! Or Will Scarlet. Whatever. Wonder if we'll be seeing any cross-development on OUAT, given the Mulan/Merry Men connection ... Interesting that both he and the Red Queen aren't Wonderland natives. I assume Agrabah isn't part of Wonderland, either, which means Jafar and Cyrus wouldn't be Wonderland natives either. And we know Alice isn't, whether or not her Victorian London is part of the real world or another storybook universe. Which means that all the major players in Once Upon A Time In Wonderland (so far) aren't originally from Wonderland... (Actually, expanding that even more, we also know the Queen of Hearts isn't a Wonderland native, either. Does Wonderland have any native human population? Is Jefferson actually a Wonderland native or a FTL native or from another world altogether? SO MANY QUESTIONS.)
I am delighted by the creepiness and moral darkness of the Caterpillar.
THE BANDERSNATCH. Not exactly what I imagined a bandersnatch to look like but hey, everyone's probably got different ideas of what a bandersnatch is. And I like that Alice got to be clever in dealing with it, and that it built up the emotional importance of Alice/Cyrus a bit more. (And that the Knave got to be sympathetic and reveal some more of his issues. So Anastasia became the Red Queen. No wonder he's a cynic.)
Most importantly, now Alice and Will know about the White Rabbit's involvement in stealing Cyrus's bottle. This should have a long payoff.
I really want to know what Jafar and the Red Queen's plan is. Why is it so important to get Alice (or Alice's wishes? Unclear.)? You've got Cyrus and his bottle. What else do you need?
"Hopefully someone with a shred of humanity left."
"No 'hopefully' about it."
I could ship Alice/the Knave. (Alice/Will? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CALL HIM.)
