chicafrom3Is it weird to say I found this episode charming? Because I found this episode charming. Holmes trying to chain Watson! Watson trying to put up with Holmes' training! Watson trying valiantly to deduce like Holmes does and then deciding to do it her own way! Crabtree offering Holmes a bee as a bribe! The case of the bizarre dry cleaners! "Sociopath but not killer"! The panel of geneticists! "I don't know how to induce CAA, I don't even remember what it stands for"! The reveal about Lincoln Dunwoody! Cleaning the damn refrigerator! Watson bringing Bell with her to bust the dry cleaners! The bee payoff!
But seriously, the bee-as-bribe scene was so charming. Possibly my favorite part of the episode. The look on Holmes' face! How much he wanted it! How much he wouldn't let himself accept it! And Watson's WTF expression through the whole scene! And then he winds up giving in and taking the bee (and the case) anyway.
I've just realized that I'm a little sad that Watson is now officially Holmes' partner/apprentice because it means he no longer has an excuse to introduce her with bizarre labels like "This is Miss Watson, my bodyguard" or "my personal valet" or whatever.
But overall? What a weirdly charming episode. ♥
