Sherlock's approach to group therapy is glorious.
And he runs when Watson calls!
Five minutes in and I am weirdly charmed by Rhys. "Can this wait until we're all clothed?" "That's my room." "For clarity's sake, Rhys is an old friend. Well, not exactly. He's my former drug dealer."
Yes, Sherlock, resist the drugs but help your friend. ♥
"You ask why I'm not a total wreck? Because I believe in Sherlock Holmes."
Please don't be a bad guy, Rhys.
Well, not worse than a drug dealer, anyway.
You know, usually when exposition involves any variation on the phrase "as you know", it irritates me to no end (if they already know why are you telling them). Holmes get license to use it, though, because I fully believe he doesn't actually believe they already know.
"Couching it as a scientific observation completely negates the misogyny." Aw, Watson, you're my favorite. ♥ I think I misquoted that slightly, sorry.
And I really love you pulling Sober Companion rank and being badass. FAVORITE.
"The Stones never made a decent album after they cleaned up."
Aw, Rhys. Don't make me dislike you. :(
"You could've let me rough him up a bit."
Winning me back over.
D: Oh, poor Emily.
"How are you doing?"
"Well, I'd like to say 'fine and dandy' but I just saw a piece of my little girl in a box."
"For what it's worth, I believe in Sherlock Holmes, too." Oh, Watson. ♥
NO RHYS YOU ARE DESTROYING MY GOODWILL TOWARDS YOU
I need to get over this irrational-goodwill-towards-fictional-drug-addicts thing, don't I?
"This is Sherlock Holmes I would like to speak with my father?"
Oh, Sherlock. D: You really will do anything for your (few) friends, won't you?
"The fact that the money I procured will return Emily is almost incidental; what it's really doing is buying a life without you."
Oh, Sherlock Holmes. *hugs*
...Oh. Well, that's a twist.
"I'm gonna save you, and then Holmes is gonna save Emily."
So can I keep my irrational-goodwill-towards-fictional-drug-addicts??
Ahaha, I am really enjoying watching Gregson and Bell crack down on the DEA dude. Competency, yay!
"She saved my life, you know."
"As I understand it, she was just returning the favor."
"Hey. I believe in you."
See, and now I'm crying over the father/daughter reunion and have apparently fully forgiven Rhys for trying to get Sherlock back on drugs...
And Sherlock's piecing Angus back together.
I'm kind of melting over this whole conversation. He's making so many concessions! Reaching out! Asking for help!
That was an unexpectedly emotional episode.Previews for next week look less emotionally intense, though!
